I really enjoyed my time at the guest house. The whole the guest house team is lovely and made me feel welcome from the start. I spent most of my time working with Marcela and Verusca, and it was a pleasure getting to know both of them. Marcela is a warm and engaging person, and I already miss walking the dogs, making dinner together, and sharing plenty of laughs. Verusca is absolutely wonderful as well-I don't think I've ever met a more relaxed person! The work exchange agreement is very well respected, and I always felt that expectations were clear and fair. I only wish I could have stayed a little longer.

I had best time ever at the guest house. The volunteering tasks are super easy and very well balanced with the time off. I loved the whole team, especially Valentina who was not only good manager, but also great friend. Beside that they have very cute animals! I would definitly recommend the guest house:)

My stay at the guest house was amazing! Chamai and Niña are super cute and i miss walking them to the Beach already. Cielo & Veruska were so funny and super nice, even tho i didn't speek Spanish that good. I really felt like home. Valentina is amazing, she is like a friend for me we had so much fun. I met so many cool people during my stay & learned about how things are organized in a hotel. It was my first volunteering and i would 100% recommend it. Thank you for everything🫶🫶

I didn't get the chance to fulfil my role here. I arrived but because I wasn't conversational in Spanish they asked me to go as it wouldn't work out. Valentina was very nice about it and did try to make it go ahead of I could read a full page of Spanish which I was unable to.
My volunteer position was for social media and only required intermediate Spanish OR English, my first language. Unfortunately, it's not stated that you should have both. My profile and application mentions I'm practicing Spanish. It was very inconvenient for us both but looks like a beautiful place to work.

We receive volunteers from all over the world, regardless of whether they speak Spanish or not. However, in your profile Spanish and English appeared; you were asked if you spoke them, and you said you needed to improve it. At the time of your arrival you didn't know anything, which is why you lied on your profile. There was another female volunteer who had previously told us she did not speak Spanish, so when we accepted you, one of the questions was whether you spoke it, since we needed someone who could fulfill the receptionist role.

As I was wrapping up my journey through Colombia, I found the guest house (or maybe the guest house found me). It's a wonderful place to connect with nature. Palomino offers the perfect combination of ocean and mountains. A peaceful space to share with fellow travelers and many lovely animals. I'm grateful for the beautiful experience, the good vibes, and the spirit of cooperation. I hope I left a meaningful trace. I'll fondly remember Marcela, Cielo, and Veruska. P.S. I often heard the same message from different people and in various situations: "Palomino gives you what you need, not what you want"

As a volunteer, I felt welcomed and supported from day one. I had the freedom to bring my ideas to life while contributing with content creation and helping around the hostel. The vibe is relaxed, and surrounded by nature — perfect for slowing down and being present. The team is kind, open, and truly dedicated to creating a space full of good energy, connection, and creativity. I'm so grateful for the memories, conversations, and sunsets. Definitely a magical stop in my journey

I had a short but very pleasant stay at the guest house. The house has 4 cats and 2 dogs that are incredibly lovable and added a lot of joy to my experience. The staff was super easy to deal with and always very kind, making the environment very welcoming. The work was manageable, and I felt appreciated for my contributions. It's a great place to relax and experience the magic of Palomino. The tranquil atmosphere and friendly people made my experience truly special. I highly recommend !

The place is super cool and there are the best people ever, from the owners to the workers. It is a familiar enviroment. Everything is super close, the beach, the local enviroments and cheap restaurants with great food. Come with a proactive, positive and open mindset and the guest house people will let you in the family and let you have your best volunteer experience.
