Program Details

Volunteers stay in our farmhouse, located right next to the renovated barn where our family lives. The house is also listed on Airbnb, but it is reserved exclusively for volunteers during their stay. You will have your own private bedroom, as well as access to a living room with TV and a fully equipped kitchen.

Our farm is located almost two hours from Trondheim, beautifully situated by the ocean and surrounded by peaceful nature. Two mountains on the property offer spectacular views, and the area is known for its tranquility and friendly people.

You can see more photos and videos and read more about us and our project on our website, www.opplevauna.no, or on Instagram: @opplevauna.

Activities & Shift

Animal care: daily cleaning of pastures and shelters, and feeding (usually less than one hour per day).
Building projects: fences, shelter improvements, and other small projects around the farm.
Gardening and maintenance: lawn mowing, watering plants, and keeping the property tidy.
Forestry: removing small trees and branches, and maintaining tracks and roads on the property.
General outdoor tasks: a variety of physical farm work depending on the season and ongoing projects.

Please note that most tasks are physically demanding and take place outdoors in all kinds of weather. Rain, wind, snow, or sunshine – we experience it all here!
