The experience

We need people willing to trace experiences and make improvements on our site. Planting, harvesting, weeding, using an ox plow, milking, photography, filming and aid in processes like making of molasses, manioc flour, grape juice, planting and harvesting of beans, rice, cassava, potatoes, vegetables, fruits; building and renovating, painting, using various tools. We also have a lot of natural material available for crafting.


What you offer

30 hours of help per week

Building & Repairing: Help with a wide range of repairs or building.

Farming: Plant crops, sow seeds and help in outside tasks.

Gardening: Help grow plants and cultivate gardens

Cooking: Choose the menu, pick ingredients and cook delicious dishes.

Additional fee required

Amount: R$ 50 Per day

Description: Voluntários contribuem com R$50 por dia (USD10) para cobrir gastos com o que não produzimos.


What you get

2 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Free Tours: We’ll take you on tours and rides around town. For free!

Fast Internet Access: High-speed internet for you to work remotely

Beginner Portuguese or Beginner Spanish

Over 21 years old

Only hosts solo volunteers (doesn’t accept couples or partners)

Program Details

The tasks we do are seasonal, respecting the phases of planting and harvesting, besides being subject to unforeseen climate changes like heavy rain, cold or drought.


Activities & Shift

Caring for animals like chickens, cows, pigs: Feeding, giving water and milking (morning and/or night). Caring for the land: plowing, weeding, flowerbeds, planting. Firewood maintenance: chopping and loading wood for firewood. Bio-construction and renovations: eventually we will be in the process of constructing or renovating some buildings. Beekeeping and meliponiculture: possible handling of bees for honey collection or swarm manipulation. Audio-visual production: we have social media pages and help with promoting our site is much welcome. Every day there are cinematographic sequences around every corner, besides being surrounded by nature, wild animals and many birds. Bring your gear!


Rules

The house will be maintained and cleaned by the guest during their stay and upon leaving. The space can be shared with other guests. We ask for a collaboration of USD10 (R$50) per day per guest for the expenses of what we do not produce ourselves.
