Michael was really kind and he's always smiling, which made the whole experience better. He was very approachable and easy to talk to. If there was ever something you weren't comfortable with or didn't agree with, he was always open to listening and finding a solution that worked for everyone. The tasks were simple and manageable, leaving you with the whole afternoon free to explorethe farm, which was amazing. The accommodation is also very close to a beautiful beach, and I really enjoyed spending time there:)

The location couldn't be better! the farmis a beautiful & walkable beach village with friendly locals. The tasks are simple and Michael is good about communicating what needs to be done. He's very kind and easy to get along with. I felt comfortable staying at thethe farm. The volunteer room is really comfortable and peaceful. I enjoyed walking to the bakery for fresh bread every morning and maintaining dinner for us was my favorite part as I love to cook! There's plenty of free time during the day to enjoy the fantastic weather and the beach is less than 10 minutes walking.

My experience atthe farm Michaelis was amazing! It was my first worldpackers experience and I immediately felt right at home. Michael is extremely kind and easy going. The house is very nice, sort of like a farm, the room where you sleep is cozy and the dogs are super sweet. the farmis breathtaking and you easily integrate into local life. I highly recommend going in the summer and visiting Turkey as well. The tasks were mainly walking the dogs, cooking, and work on the house. I'm very thankful to Michael and Maria for this experience. Please reach out to me with any questions!! :)

Michael is a really lovely man. We walked the 3 super cute and friendly dogs in the morning, made breakfast and dinner for Michael each day and ate together. The room we stayed in was really lovely and clean. Michael has disabilities and doesn't chat too much and struggles to walk but is very nice. I had a good time with Michael and Maria (his carer) inthe farm and would be happy to chat to anyone interested in visiting Michael and volunteering here!

There were a lot of things I loved about my experience. The island is beautiful, the town and beaches are lovely, the dogs are sweet, and the property is really nice. The work itself was easy and our days off were respected. However, some parts of the experience were quite different from what the profile led me to expect, and there were a few things that weren't mentioned beforehand. I think being a little more transparent about these things would help future volunteers know what to expect.

I came here with my friend Jac and we had a lovely time onthe farm. Michael is nice and the work is easy leaving lots of time to explore the island. Our tasks included making breakfast and walking the dogs then Michael would assign us a task. Then in the evening we prepared dinner and washed up. Easy! The house is situated close to town and lovely beaches. To note: Michael's illness now means he isn't able to offer the cultural exchange or tours so a lot of the time is to yourself so bring books etc to be entertained Our 2 days off were respected but we decided to continue walking the dogs.

There were a lot of things I enjoyed about my experience - the town is beautiful, the dogs are sweet, and the property is beautiful. However, it was very different from what the profile led me to expect. There is a lack of transparency that needs to be addressed when it comes to Michael's health, the working hours, and expectations. We had several miscommunications. Wishing all the best in the future for Michael, Maria, and all the lovely animals!

It was a nice volunteering opportunity with simple tasks as described in the caption, lots of time spent with animals or cooking. Michael is a very nice host, however I think that transparency is really important and there is nothing mentioned about his health issues, which would be important to know beforehand.
Feel free to reach out if you have any questions.
Thank you Michael and all the best for the future!

Michael is a good person. He picked us up when we arrived and was also flexible with schedules and tasks when we needed him. If you're volunteering alone, you might need to cook and make breakfast every day with no days off. Regarding Kokkari, it's a beautiful village with lots of greenery, mountains, and beaches, but there aren't many supermarkets, and you need to go to town, which is a bit challenging since there are almost no buses (maybe 4 a day). I highly recommend going in the summer. I'm very grateful for the whole experience volunteering with Michael and meeting Maria.

This was my first volunteer experience, and now that it's over, I can honestly say I really loved it. In the beginning, there were some challenges, Michael is going through a difficult personal period, and as someone who isn't very comfortable expressing emotions, it took me a bit of time to adapt. I'd definitely recommend talking both to Michael and to previous volunteers before coming. Michael is a truly wonderful person with a kind soul, his dogs are unbelievably sweet, andthe farm is a beautiful, peaceful place, perfect if you need some time away from noise and the city.
