I spent 6 weeks here and it was incredible! Monique and Gerard are so welcoming and kind. I felt right at home from the beginning. Hours and tasks were made clear. They really want to make sure you are fine and comfortable with what you are doing. When they went to different towns and areas they always asked me if I wanted to go so I could explore. The conversations with them were amazing and with some of their help and patience I really improved my French! The garden was beautiful and I got to connect with nature while being there. I would highly recommend and 100% would come back and help.

I spent three amazing weeks in Monique en Gerard's botanical garden. They are incredibly generous, caring and sociable people. I learned so much about french culture, the language and gardening. They took me on little trips, helped me with everything I needed and made me feel very welcome. The work was not too demanding and the hours were respected. Monique and Gerard provide amazing meals and are always open for lively conversations :) It's the true french experience! I definitely recommend this to anyone who wants to enjoy the french countryside or wants to practice their french.

I had a great two weeks with Monique, Gérard and all the animals. They are very kind people, always making sure you're doing fine, and they like to be social. If you want to improve your french it's the perfect place. The meals were fantastic and ofcourse the garden an their home is beautiful. I loved all the animals around the house; the dog, cats, a lot of peacocks, a swan, geese, an otter (I think). The work in the garden is different every day. Sometimes a bit harder, sometimes easy, but the instructions and the schedule was always fair and clear. I had a wonderful experience!

I absolutely loved my stay here, the botanical garden is an absolutely stunning property and Monique and Gerald are extremely kind, I felt very welcome and as if I came to my own grandparents. I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to experience French culture and life in the countryside. I would highly recommend this to everyone!!

It was an honor to work and live with Gerard and Monique. I genuinely could not have asked for better hosts and a better experience. I went to better my French, and it was a truly immersive experience--fully helped by their patience with me. They were so kind and generous in welcoming me into their home. I did not feel out of place at all! Meals were delicious and fresh; conversations were rich; they gave me tours of major sites in the area while also offering to drive and pick me up from bus/train stations to aid my solo travel; and much more. All in all, I felt incredibly well taken care of.

Gérard and Monique are incredibly friendly. They were very understanding with my French and patiently explained everything to me, which allowed me to learn a lot. They took me on several excursions, which was a real plus and a lot of fun! They taught me a lot about the history of France and interesting anecdotes about fruits and vegetables. It is very hot during the day, so Gérard won't let you work at that time. Beware of tiger mosquitoes; there are many, so don't hesitate to ask Monique for insect repellent. :)

❤️Everything was incredible and magical, exceeding all our expectations. 💭It was like discovering several paradises, learning a bit of everything in the gardens, under the care and guidance of Monique and Gérard, wonderful people who taught us a lot and showed us French culture in depth. There were peacocks and geese!🦚🪿 A true dream. And the meals… a real delight: we had the chance to taste tomatoes🍅, courgettes, aubergines, peppers and aromatic herbs from their own harvest.💪
