The community was the best volunteer experience I've ever had. I felt welcomed immediately and quickly felt at home. Everyone was kind, funny, loving, and felt like family. I loved the strong sense of community, sharing meals, and working together. The work was enjoyable and balanced, and the hosts were patient teachers who shared so much knowledge about eco-building, culture, and life. I learned a lot and left with a new perspective on community and living. I would recommend this experience to anyone and can't wait to come back!

This was easily one of the most beautiful, impactful, and special places we have ever been to. We were only there a month, but it quickly felt like home. Lidia is an incrediblly kind, wise, genuine person- and a fantastic cook. Varinia is so funny, sweet and a joy to be around. She will always put a smile on your face. Igor is kind, encouraging, wise, and funny. We can not recommend this place enough. We were able to experience the culture, learn about eco building, and how to care for animals and the environment. Most of all we will miss living in community with everyone at Laguamanda.

I had a wonderful time here and learned so much—not just the language, but also a lot about life. Everyone was so nice, and I always felt welcome.

Laguamanda, our first volunteer experience, left us with a very positive experience.
They welcomed us very warmly.
Igor and Varinia picked us up at the terminal, and took us to Laguamanda.
We stayed in a small travel trailer; perhaps the mattress could be improved, since it didn't have one, and at times you could feel the wood of the 'bed'. Still, we managed with some cushions that were there.
The stay was very nice; we are very grateful to Lidia for her lunches and her kindness!
The work was simple.
Thank you very much for having us!!!🙌🏼✨️

Igor, Varinia and Lidia made our experience in the community feel like being with family. We shared meals, stories, and a way of seeing life from the community. The exchange hours are respected, and they also provide you with work clothes and guide you and accompany you with the tasks. We arrived in winter, but we had a stove, a bed heater, quilts, and hot water. The bathroom is a little far away, but that's the only thing. We leave with the intention of returning, to share and enjoy, not only of the place but of the community. Thank you for everything, we carry you in our hearts 💓💓!

Getting to know Igor, Varinia, and Lidia was a wonderful experience. They treated us like family. We especially highlight Igor for his outlook on life and his way with people. With him you can talk and learn a lot. A hug to all three of them! The work was straightforward; they respect the schedules and don't require tasks that are too heavy. They try to provide clothing and work tools. A calm and highly recommended experience.

My experience in the community was sensational! Lidia, Vari and Igor, the hosts, are wonderful people and welcomed me as part of the family. The farm is simply amazing, it has a huge area to explore, there are sheep, chickens, horses, geese, dogs and the kitten Antonieta who were part of our care routine in addition to other wild species that can be seen around. The food is an experience in itself, everything done with a lot of care and respect, everything delicious. A very calm routine. I will miss the daily exchanges and learnings, I highly recommend it.

The community is difficult to explain. One might think that it's a place you come to disconnect from the world, but it ends up being exactly the opposite. Here you come to reconnect, with nature, with shared work, and, above all, with yourself. I leave with a heart full of love and good experiences, thanks Vari, Lidia and Igor, for making me feel at home, and to my fellow volunteers, we were the best super team, without a doubt a 100% recommendable experience.

Laguamanda is a magical place where one learns what it means to live in a community, where we support each other, making day-to-day work easier. There is a wealth of knowledge that Igor, Vari and Lidia seek to share with every volunteer who passes through there. I am very grateful for the warmth with which we are welcomed; one really feels at home! I hope to return very soon! 🥰

The community is a beautiful place, full of life and love, work doesn't feel like a responsibility but like something we would dedicate ourselves to. Living in a community inspired us, transformed us and gave us strength! To Vari, Igor and Lidia we will miss them very much; we take with us every day of work, every song, every poem, every family lunch, every teaching and questioning! The community revives and we will never forget the Chiquisuelas team!! Thank you for opening the doors of your home and hearts to us. See you in spring for the inauguration of dear Lidia's house ♥️
