The hostel was fabulous. They have a beautiful community of people and really make an effort to make you feel at home. The stunning nature and beaches around the hostel are amazing and the view every morning is gorgeous! Theres a fair amount of work when cleaning, but the atmosphere and people make this place a dream! Thank you the hostel! I will always remember you!💕

Elaine, Douglas, isa, and Pedro are an amazing, generous family! the Hostel is beautiful with the best view of ocean and mountains where you can feed monkeys everyday. It's Great!!!!! Our problem was with the manager who is a man child who does absolutely nothing at his job and seems to be having a life crises because his girlfriend is leaving. There no guests here, only volunteers, I can see why.... Our stuff constantly went missing, headphones, food, clothing and someone broke my very expensive watch. I have been in hostels for 4 years traveling and never wanted to leave a hostel so bad.

I really enjoyed my time at the hostel. The hostel is very peaceful, right next to Lagoa Beach hostel and with a beautiful view. Well located near markets and restaurants. All the people involved with the hostel are very hospitable and make you feel at home there. The volunteer schedules are respected, but they are super flexible and open to discussion. I highly recommend it.

It's difficult to summarize what I feel for the hostel. I arrived as a guest and a few weeks later I returned as a volunteer. The hostel was my home, my refuge, a place where I felt very loved and I made many friendships.
Regarding the work, at the start of each week the organization of the schedules is carried out, with two days off. The tasks are well defined and there is a lot of openness to dialogue and to new proposals about how to carry them out.
The view is spectacular, the location is excellent. It allowed me to get to know many places on the island.

It was my first volunteering experience and I feel I chose the right place. I met amazing people, everyone was very receptive and I felt super at ease. The owners and their son are so lovely and deserve all the world's success! And the kitties left everything even better. Besides having seen monkeys and capybaras during these days 🥹. It was a very special experience traveling alone, which I will treasure with a lot of affection. I will definitely come back! 💕

The place is beautiful, it has an energy that fills you up and makes you feel like family. They have the best view of Lagoa hostel, and I am more and more impressed every day. The tasks are simple, the schedules are flexible so you can get to know and improve the place — it's the people, always eager to help and even take care of you — a day off as a stranger and on another day or in a short period, you are part of the family.
