In the beginning it was alright and we helped out with planning trees a little but all of the other work was just cleaning her house and the outside floor which felt very off. the communication was bad and the host was border crossing. there was delicious fruit and some vegetables and we got some lunch but it didn't really feel comfortable to eat as the host told us how to and made us deep clean the whole kitchen by ourselves after - while she was sitting with her feet in ice water which she told us to provide for her. it felt like dirty work and not what we agreed on unfortunately

The host made me extremely uncomfortable, telling me how to use the toilet by leading me into the restroom and providing an example. Taking my fork out of my hand while eating. She made uncomfortable jokes often. Smacked my girlfriend ass and legs. Whole place was extremely unsanitary and unpleasant. Upsides decent WiFi and beautiful river. I think she had good intentions but delivered as wrong as possible. She asked of me to pour water on her legs while she was not well clothed. Food was unclean. Work was unorganized and not what we signed up for. Overall 0/10

My experience was pleasant, Ana had a very good attitude from day 1, she came to meet us on the road since we were a bit lost, the food was very tasty, always with energy to teach us and show us the local reality, arriving at proyeto was a very tight connection with nature, the environment, recycling and becoming aware of other ways of living.

It was good! Ana is a person with a lot of personality. Perhaps because of so many experiences she’s a bit tired of falling into the same patterns of demands toward volunteers. I think there are several alternatives to that, but otherwise, it’s a real space. Surrounded by forest and with a typical life of the average Brazilian. If you know how to handle yourself, you’ll learn a lot and value every gesture. The food is good and you’ll have fun talking with Ana, who has a very interesting life story.

The volunteering experience was very good; I had direct contact with nature, the house is right in the native forest itself, but it's a great place.
The work is relaxed; I recommend the experience.

Unfortunately I was sick, which meant I had to end my stay there; however, during the days I was there I felt welcomed, in touch with nature, supported by Ana who is generous and dynamic, in the company of her adorable pets. It lives up to what was described and it is possible to enjoy nearby places by taking public transport. Thank you very much, Ana!

Ana is a kind person and the place is wonderful and magical, I fell in love with the river that is in her backyard. Our experience was amazing with great exchanges and good laughs. I will surely carry it with me for life with a lot of affection.
My suggestion: more clarity about the arrangements; when I arrived, Ana told me that each day was a day and at the end of the stay I felt there was discomfort for not having met some expectations that were not actually discussed.
Even so, for me it was worth every minute of the experience.

Ana has a unique personality and a strong presence! She knows a lot about the land and is one of the people responsible for that living forest to exist. The meals on the workdays were tapioca or fruit, while the lunches were stews. I suggest bringing natural products for the meals that are not in the description and for the days off. The place is really beautiful and we have access to the river that runs close to the house. Getting to Trindade without a car, for example, is a bit precarious, but nothing impossible.

The place is amazing, a river running through the backyard, I loved it. The contact with nature; I learned a little about painting and how to get out of unpleasant moments at the right moment so as not to make things worse. Everything around the place was beautiful; I met new fruits that I had never seen. The host is an incredible, intelligent, and very creative woman, but unfortunately she is going through difficult moments ...

The site/project has a very beautiful history of formation; the reforestation done with agroforestry was a great idea. Being able to spend this time here in Paraty was great!
