We support a sustainable community of local San Diego business owners. The work location is 10 minutes drive from our famous Hostel @TheHostelCalifornia where you will be staying with other International Guests. The main job as "handyman" will be to help our "Refurbished Goods" warehouse keep tidy, can include painting, scraping, sanding, cleaning up overgrown brush, and to help organizing. Also may be opportunities to help Reclaim furniture.

This hostel is very chill and everyone there was so friendly, host included! the work is simple and the flexibility is really nice, but there's no real schedule so just make sure to be proactive!

Great host! super nice and chill. you dont really have workhours, just as soon as you see something to clean up you can do it (like dishes or toilets or cleaning floor) but host doesnt ask for much! the hostel is kind off like a house so its really cozy. everyone here was super nice and social and i enjoyed it alot!

My time at the hostel were so fun! the hostel has a chill atmosphere and all of the people there are very welcoming, always spending time together and cooking for each other. The tasks are simple and Andi is a great host. Had a blast and recommended it to anyone who'd like to experience San Diego in a cool energy!

As my first worldpackers experience in the US, i didn't really have any expectations when arriving at the hostel except meeting nice international people. And that's exactly what I got. Felt welcomed the first seconds I set foot in the hostel. Would recommend this beautiful experience with beautiful people to anyone who wants a taste of a social hostel life in San Diego :)

Today I completes 1 month as a volunteer at the hostel and it couldn't have been better! the hostel is amazing with several common areas, well equipped kitchen and exudes art and good vibes! the hostel is well located and with several tourist attractions close by... the tasks are simple and super easy to get into the rhythm. I met incredible people that I will carry forever in my heart! Special THANKS to Andy, sweet and super friendly. Thanks for the opportunity to volunteer in San Diego ❤️
