My time on the farm was by far a highlight of all my travels so far! Monika is such a great host and makes you feel welcome in her home from the very start ( and so did her husband and son). My time was slightly different to usual volunteers as I came at the end of the season, meaning i had different and varied tasked but all still kept very fair with the working hours. The accommodation is great and has everything you need, even a wide selection of clothes. I would recommend this experience to anyone, especially people who love animals and being outdoors. The farm will be greatly missed 🫶

I had a fantastic time on Monika's farm. Everything is exactly as in the description, Monika really takes good care of her volunteers and she and her family are also extremely welcoming and friendly. The work itself is quite rewarding and offers a chance to engage with nature or with animals - I personally loved working with the highland cows! When not working, there are lots of wonderful places to explore nearby, including lakes, hikes, and the nearby town of Celje. I would absolutely recommend this experience to anyone looking to connect with the outdoors and meet fellow travellers!

This was honestly one of the most incredible experience. Monika, Jure and co (Charlie, Luna and Bebas included) run the most amazing farm and have hearts of gold. Everything was fair and as agreed. The tasks themselves were so rewarding- it felt like you were really contributing to a sustainable way of life while doing something physically challenging for your body too! Had the best group, was able to cook whatever we want, got to meet locals, explored the area and ate so much delicious food (raspberries included)! Couldn't recommend this experience enough :)

Me and my partner spent two lovely weeks with Monika on the farm early in August. We worked very manageable hours and were easily able to make trips around the area on our days or afternoons off. I enjoyed the farm picking as a calm and mindful start to every morning. Our days also involved other tasks around the farm to help care for the property and animals. It was great to see how much Monika and Jure care for their animals, and wonderful to experience the calmer pace of life on the farm. The accommodation was comfortable with plenty of privacy in the shared room. Highly recommended ⭐️

Monika runs a great experience, the amount of work is very reasonable, everything is well organised and clearly explained, and she makes time to get to know everyone. While volunteering here we got to explore the surrounding area, learn about Slovenian culture, and see another way of life.
The family and surrounding neighbours are so generous and welcoming, I was humbled by their hospitality.
Monika also has a knack for choosing volunteers, we had a great group of people while we were there, it really made the experience.

I had one of the best experiences of my life at the farm. Monika is the best host: caring, hardworking and organised. The work at the farm was very manageable and split between the morning and afternoon, so the time would fly by. And the raspberries are delicious! There was plenty of free time to visit nearby cities and lakes. I loved getting to know the other volunteers and building great friendships. It felt like being part of a family far away from home. Monika's family and friends were also very welcoming and kind. Couldn't recommend it more and hope to visit again. Hvala lepa!

I don't even know how to put into words how special my time on the farm was. It was beyond what I could've imagined. Monika and her family are truely beautiful and the volunteers I met are such amazing people. The work is simple and so educational, I feel like I learnt so much about farming, Slovenia and community which created a new appreciation for food and culture. Without a doubt I would recommend this place, it's so so special and I can't wait to go back again one day, if you get lucky enough to go here you will have an unforgettable time with people you will remember for life.

I can't recommend staying here enough! Monika has hosting down to a science. She is super organized, so everything is well planned and very straightforward. Monika is such a genuine and hardworking person, you can tell she loves what she does, and truly enjoys sharing that with others. She was very generous by giving us rides into town, which made getting around that much easier. Her family and neighbours were also incredibly welcoming. Monika was an incredibly caring and kind host. She went above and beyond to make sure that her volunteers were happy, and formed genuine connections with all of us. She explains tasks clearly and is very patient with all volunteers. She frequently checked in to ensure that we were satisfied, cooked us delicious meals and desserts, frequently drove us to the bus stops and nearby city, and took us for walks in the beautiful nature surrounding her farm. All volunteers are in great hands with Monika! I am endlessly grateful for all that she did for me during my time at the farm. <3

This was an amazing experience being on Monika and her family's the farm. I am very grateful for the time I spent here with such a great group of volunteers. The working hours are very reasonable being mostly in the morning. Monika is a very kind and respectful host. The animals are all so friendly, I enjoyed walking the dogs. The location is fantastic to explore the nearby area and is close to celje that has a train and bus station where you can explore Slovenia further. I recommend volunteering here.
