The hostel is as magical as the island, the energy is great; I was very well received by the volunteer team and by the manager Bruna who is very approachable and humane. The work is well divided and organized, always respecting the schedules and we have many activities to socialize, hikes, surf lessons, luau, parties and snacks. I am immensely grateful for the opportunity to share my days here, it was enriching; I met people I will carry with me for life and without a doubt it is my home away from home in Florianópolis.

It was my first volunteering experience, and I couldn't have chosen a better place! The hostel, the people, the parties, and the culture. Everything made the experience the best I could have. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone who is willing to socialize and discover something new—it's totally worth it!
Moreover, Bruna, the hostel manager. She has always been incredibly attentive and concerned about the well-being of the volunteers; I was very lucky to have her as a manager and to be part of such a family-like team of volunteers. I love it, and I want to be there whenever possible. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

It was amazing volunteering at the hostel, even though I stayed only two weeks, I made friends I want to take with me for life. The hostel itself is very well equipped, the little house where the volunteers sleep as well, and we can use the hostel facilities. The tasks are relaxed and the working hours well balanced, with plenty of time to enjoy the island. Volunteers have access to parties, trails, surfing classes at a more affordable price. Everything was wonderful, I am very grateful to everyone for the opportunity, I highly recommend it to the entire worldPackers community.

I finish this volunteering with a heart full of gratitude for everything I lived through! I really had the opportunity to experience what I always hoped for from volunteering; the tasks I did were to help with the reception and cleaning, they were very calm and light tasks to perform, the team of staff and volunteers is wonderful, they are all very united and we would come together to do something, which made all the difference to me, because I felt that I really was part of the team. Bruna, who is the manager, is a very empathetic and respectful person, it was wonderful to volunteer at the hostel, I would come back a thousand times! Thank you for everything!

My volunteering at the hostel in Barra da Lagoa was a very positive experience. The hostel is in a spectacular location, right in front of the beach and the canal, with incredible landscapes. During my stay I was able to take many walks around the area and enjoy really beautiful beaches. In addition, the team was very kind and flexible with my work hours, which made everything easier. The coworking area is also comfortable and works very well for those who need to work while traveling. No doubt, it was a great experience.
