The Experience
We ask for the same things you would already expect. We are looking for travelers who are interested to help out some shifts in exchange of lodging fee. We accept individuals for a housekeeping position and those who are able and willing to stay longer could transition into reception. Don't worry, we don't work any one too hard! Cleaning duties involve looking after the place in general and on some shifts getting down and cleaning up.

It has been a wonderful experience. The hostel is a cozy place, and I love the capsule atmosphere. The other starf/volunteers are friendly and always willing to help. I wouldn't hesitate to come back! I had to leave earlier than expected, but they were very understanding. The work is simple; sometimes there's more to do, sometimes less, but it doesn't get overwhelming. It is very well connected to supermarkets and public transport, making it easy to get around DC. The city has a lot to offer, with various events, music, and museums. I loved it.

What I have experienced in this hostel I have never experienced before. The people I have met I will always carry in my heart. The hostel is good and the tasks are fair. The owners are good people. Thank you Paul and Tom, I hope to see you soon. The city is beautiful.

The hostel is clean and fancy. Volunteers live in the cozy pod. Hosts are generous and friendly. They always buy some snacks for the volunteers. Tasks are easy and reasonable. You can get the free drinks from Brew on the hostel Cafe during your shift. The surrounding area is convenient and safe. Metro and bus station are just one minute walk. Trader Joe's and Walgreens are just around the corner. Here is the best place to volunteer and explore Washington DC. Highly recommend to everyone.

Being at the hostel for two months was a life changing experience. The staff team I'd say AMAZING, Caroline, Dimitri and Jim, shout out to them :) The Hostel is very well located with a metro station literally on the corner. Beds (pods) very comfortable and safety their number one priority having all the main doors protected with codes (and each one has your own). Last but not least, I'd like to thank Paul and Thom for being amazing hosts. The hostel is 10/10!

I stayed at the hostel for 6 weeks. Decided to extend my stay because I was having a such great experience. The owner are very friendly, the schedule is super chill, very minimal issues regarding safety but absolutely a great experience. The hostel is well located and the capsule give you a sense of personal space which is excellent for long term guests. Thank you Paul for the opportunity ❤️
