Our experience at Jasmine school the school was enjoyable The host provides everything listed, including an everything you could need in a room. They even checked for dietary restrictions upon arrival. The kids are wonderful, and teaching hours are easy (9-11 AM and 3-5 PM). Teacher English varies from basic-advanced; some seem direct, but they do their best to communicate. Jasmine is in a pleasant area and you are alone during off-hours, but tourist spots are only 30 minutes away, which was the best of both worlds!Once again thank you for put hospitality. Until we meet again! ❤️🙏

Great experience if you don't have the energy to entertain them and keep them engaged while learning you'd only be stunting their chance at learning and making the experience not as awesome as it could be. Expect to teach through repetition, an be involved in some field trips, local & cultural events along the way!

A meaningful experience at Happy Valley Academy! The children are lovely, and working with them was the highlight of my stay! Duyen was amazing, welcoming and supportive! I appreciated living everyday life in a Vietnamese kindergarten!

The experience requires flexibility and initiative. Communication may require some additional effort, particularly when planning activities, but there was genuine effort to support me.

I recommend it to anyone who enjoys working with young children and is open to a different school context, learning to adapt in a difererent educational and cultural environment

This was a very nice experience. The children are lovely and the teachers are kind and supportive. The language barrier and the distance from tourist areas can feel a bit isolating at times, especially if you are shy, but more outgoing people may adapt more easily. Being creative during the classes is also important to keep the children engaged.

Absolutely amazing experience! The kids are super cute, and everyone is so kind and always smiling — you can really feel peace and kindness everywhere. The English teacher is passionate, loving, and professional, and you learn a lot from her. People here spread pure joy! If you come alone, you might feel a bit lonely and need to use Google Translate (English–Vietnamese) to communicate, but it's totally worth it. Tip: Bring short-sleeved shirts to cover your shoulders, or ask about a uniform. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Duyen was the best host we could've possibly had! she was the sweetest, she took us out, she invited us over to eat with her family, and she always made sure we were comfortable. The kids were also really really really cute! we enjoyed teaching them especially the baby classes and the primary students during after school classes. they were so fun and they spoke really good english. The room was also really clean and the staff always made sure the classrooms were a safe and clean environment for the children. if you're considering doing this you should take that step ASAP.

All in all I had a wonderful experience at Happytime Learning! My colleagues as well as my students were very friendly and engaging, making this an unforgettable experience. The communication with the staff and my host was easy and everyone tried their best to make me feel welcome. At the end of my stay I was invited to a cultural show farther from the school, which I really enjoyed. I met great people and connected with the locals. If you are looking for a place to experience daily life in Vietnam and work with preschoolers, I'd definitely recommend this experience!

My experience was nice, i had a few complications but Ahn was there for support and she helped me a lot. You feel a bit isolated and lonely because of a huge language barrier and the the lessons material is also not there so you are on your own most of the time. The food is okay and the teachers are lovely but they dont speak English. The kids are really fun to hang out with but i think 2 weeks are more than enough time. I would recommend this to anyone who likes being alone and loves kids. You can also reach the center very easily so thats nice

This was a wonderful opportunity to explore Hanoi while teaching English. This was our first WorldPackers experience and the host did everything to ensure we were comfortable and onboarded. Our favorite part was the amazing children. They are full of personality and smart! We did end up leaving to get a hotel due to a safety concern with the accommodations. The on-site manager was open to moving us to a different room but the host ended up ending our commitment early. Nonetheless, it was so fun and we are so the school we had the opportunity to do it.
