I recommend volunteers download the BikNit app and take nice excursions along the Guanabara Bay waterfront, for free. Niterói has many beaches, museums, and interesting places.

The hostel is in a really nice place, close to everything and just a short distance from the boats that go to Rio.
The kitchen and the laundry area have everything we need, and the work isn't exhausting.
The arrangements were very clear, and the manager, Gabriel, was super flexible regarding the schedules. So we managed to agree on a routine that would be good for me and for the hostel.
I liked it a lot because this way I could work and explore the region :)

Aproveitei muito a minha estadia no MEC hostel, o staff é amigável e as tarefas sao tranquilas, tem um co work maravilhoso e curti bastante o centro de Niteroi, a Duda explica tudo direito e sempre está aberta a duvidas, muito obrigado :D

Em geral, é uma experiência agradável. O hostel está localizado no centro da cidade, próximo a vários tipos de comércio e da estação de barcas, que permite chegar ao centro do Rio de Janeiro em menos de 30 minutos. Considerei outro ponto positivo as folgas fixas aos finais de semana, e uma folga semanal. A estrutura do alojamento de equipe é simples. É uma boa oportunidade para quem busca descansar porque a maioria dos hóspedes são trabalhadores de offshore que usam o hostel apenas como dormitório. A comunicação da equipe é falha, o que gera desgastes desnecessários.
