From the moment I arrived at the hostel I could tell this was a very special place. Refat and Resi are some of the kindest, socially aware, and hardworking people I've encountered in my travels and volunteering. You really are made to feel like family in such a short time. I had an absolutely wonderful experience. I came here with a 3 month commitment, and no expectations. I immediately felt welcomed by the hosts, and the community of Berat. Refat and Resi are some of the most hospitable and enjoyable people I have ever crossed paths with. I would return as a volunteer at a moments notice if the opportunity presented itself. I cannot recommend this place enough for people looking for a welcoming, enjoyable, and life changing experience. You will not regret it. My time at the hostel will be a fond memory of mine for years to come.

I cannot recommend volunteering at the hostel enough! Berat is a beautiful place. It is a great chill social hostel, the rooms are nice, the hours are easy and the workload is very reasonable. Refat and Resi are so kind and really made me feel like I was a part of the family.

I spent about 5 weeks at the hostel for my first Worldpackers experience, and I would definitely recommend it to travelers who are looking for a fun place to stay and connect with both locals and fellow travelers! The hostel itself is very clean, and the hosts are respectful of the agreed-upon hours for each shift. As for the city itself, Berat is beautiful and rich in local culture! As a volunteer, you will definitely have enough time to explore the city, as well as some other Albanian cities on your days off. Overall, I had a great time in Berat and the hostel.

Staying with Resi and Refat at the hostel was a very lucky and fulfilling first Worldpackers experience. I was welcomed as part of the team immediately. The tasks for my shifts were straightforward and completed within the shift times. I was able to travel around Albania on my days off, even coming back to work the later shift the day I returned (very appreciated. Berat is beautiful, and I am thankful to have had the chance to spend a month there. I am definitely more introverted and I felt like that was always respected, and it was an amazing town to travel solo in! I will definitely be back:)

Being a volunteer at the hostel has been the best experience! Refat and Resi are the most lovely people, they've been such amazing hosts and have my made my stay feel like a home away from home. The work is very easy and reasonable. You'll always have a lot of time to explore Berat and on your days off go visit other cities. The best thing about my stay here is how whether you're a guest or volunteer, Refat and Resi will treat you like family. Very glad to have come across this experience. :)
