Program Details
This will be the third volunteering summer. This is the time of year with the most activity, and we also take the opportunity to continue with improvement tasks, which is when the Galician weather allows.
As a traditional country house in restoration, it needs different care and attention, so every kind of 'handyman' is welcome.
-Can you help with small masonry, carpentry, electrical work, painting, etc?
-Or perhaps your thing is the artistic or decorative side? Or perhaps the garden, the kitchen, or home care?
Everything is welcome if you want to come spend a week sharing as a small community.
The project is very humble and still budding, but we can offer you accommodation and vegetarian meals in exchange for 4 hours of daily collaboration.
We are interested in your skills, but the only indispensable requirements are mutual respect and care.
Activities & Shift
We can talk if you prefer to stack work hours in one day and go as a tourist or relax on another day. The important thing is that you take responsibility for your commitment and understand how important it is to take your collaboration seriously during those 20 hours per week that you give us. Schedules and activities can be flexible; everything can be done with respect and mutual empathy!
Rules
-The food we offer is ovo-lacto vegetarian. If you have special needs, you will have to take care of it yourself.
-To thank you for your help, you also have free access to the activities offered that weekend. If your stay doesn't coincide with any activity, we can also arrange a visit.
- We go to bed early and wake up early. A normal day can mean going to bed before midnight and waking up around 8am.
- We do not promote tobacco, alcohol, or other substances.
- We will hold a group meeting to organize tasks by consensus.
- It is also important that your arrival falls on a weekday. Weekends greatly reduce transport availability in the area, so you can reach the town easily where we pick you up.
- We pick you up in Friol, the nearest town, which is about 15 minutes from the house. You must organize the journey there yourself, but you can ask us and we will provide information for your trip.
