The hostel is in a great spot, about a 20-minute walk from Montañita. It's a super chill place to be out in nature. The facilities are good, you get unforgettable sunsets, and it's just steps from the beach. The shifts are well-organized too. Just a heads-up, the restaurant isn't running anymore, so tasks are split between the bar, reception, and keeping the common areas clean. The hosts are friendly, there's a kitchen ready for volunteers, and plenty of spots to eat and shops nearby.

My time at the hostel has flown by in the blink of an eye! The team here made me feel like part of the family from the first day I arrived. In exchange for your help with the bar and housekeeping, you can wake up to the sound of the ocean and watch the most beautiful sunsets every night. The location offers shelter from the craziness of Montañita, but close enough for a 20 minute walk or 3 minute taxi. Pablo and Flor are incredible people and I am so grateful to have been welcomed here. If I could stay forever, I would.

I absolutely loved my stay at the hostel. The owners were so welcoming and made sure I was comfortable right away. There was a schedule sent for the week with shifts shared equally between volunteers, which was extremely helpful to plan activities in advance. As well, the hostel is located directly on the beach, so getting to enjoy sunrises and sunsets while being a 10 second walk from the ocean was definitely a highlight for me. Overall it was an amazing experience were I felt welcomed and respected with is a super chill atmosphere! 100% recommend! Thank you the hostel!

The hostel was a great first volunteer experience for me. It's in a great location where you can enjoy peace and quiet, but also join the party down the street in Montañita. Pablo and Flor are hardworking, caring people. It's a great place to be, and I would definitely recommend it!

The hostel is special place with amazing ownership. Pablo and Flor gave us simple clear cut tasks to do working (5) 5 hour shifts a week as agreed. The hostel is beautiful and you will never run out of available activities to do on your off time should you choose to. Thank you so much for having me. You have a very amazing and special place that I looking forward to revisiting and working together again. 🙏🙂🙃🙂

The hostel is a breath of fresh air from the wildness of Montanita. Not only are the owners awesome people they re extremely understanding people and admireably hard workers. If you need a location to truly help, unplug and also relax there isn't a more recommended place. A true hidden gem. Everyone who finds this oasis tends to stay longer than planned which is effortless. Once you catch the vive it's truly effortless if you appreciate dedication and have a heart that cares.

Tips before you arrive: Arrive before 6 pm — strongly not recommended after that Town curfew until 11 pm (as of May) Food options during the week are very limited. Nearby beach restaurants are only open on weekends. Great option for couples, friends, or groups — good vibes and surf potential. For solo female travelers: I didn't feel particularly welcomed, looked after, or at ease during my stay, enough that I decided to leave early. Hygiene was also a concern. I'd encourage women traveling alone to think twice before booking.
