The hostel is a great place to build a network of people, both locals and travelers. Well located, it offers a great opportunity to get to know the city while living volunteering. The staff team was very welcoming to me, which greatly improved my experience over the days. I faced a moment of transition, which directly impacted my activities, but I was welcomed in this sense as well and we adapted the routine until it worked. Living with other volunteers on-site was also a special network. I carry a bit of the hostel with me!

Very happy to be part of this team. In the Media volunteer program I learned a lot about editing, photography, and filming. In addition to making incredible friends who became family. The hostel has an impeccable structure, the breakfast is perfect. Paula (the owner) early in the first week took me on a tour around the city, always keen to show me the hostel and the local culture. Alcimar was my great partner, always willing to swap ideas and teach me about the hostel's marketing. The location here is also privileged, close to the main beaches and nightlife. Without a doubt I recommend!!

Volunteering at Catavento hostel was like having my home away from home. It was my first volunteering experience and it already started with a high standard, haha. I worked in social media, and I could develop many skills, produce good content and be totally smitten with the area. Total gratitude to the whole team who were super receptive and kind at all times. The media volunteer program at Catavento is a comfortable, light, creative, and dynamic experience. The routine involves being present at the hostel's weekly activities, some in the morning, others at night, and we can participate in them, turning everything into content. We record day-to-day life, create scripts, and issue calls for the activities. The team is extremely flexible, kind, and respectful. The accommodation is excellent, and the hostel is beautiful!!! I felt completely at ease to create, suggest videos, and propose new ideas. I have a lot of affection for this position and I highly recommend it!

Working with social media was super enjoyable and smooth; Alcimar and Lua are amazing people who give us all the support and creative freedom! Unfortunately, everyone is friendly, but the Worldpacker community and collaboration have a format and workload; I believe that the hostel request did not work for me, and it was my 3rd day. We ended things and they gave me 5 days of lodging🙏🏻gratitude
