We spent 2 weeks working at the farm in Quemchi, practicing my Spanish as a waitress, sharing meals, & really feeling like we were helping out/part of the team. Paz introduced us to her whole family & we were lucky enough to share lots of moments with them during our stay. The staff house was perfect, so cozy & on their gorgeous property by the water. It's right outside of town and we had no problems hitchhiking/getting rides with the family when possible. It was so nice to slow down, learn about and enjoy the Chilote lifestyle. 100% recommend. Gracias Paz y Rudolfo por su hospitalidad!

The experience I was lucky enough to have was magnificent. Not only was I able to encounter a place above all expectations, but to welcome me I found extremely kind people (even two very sweet dogs and cuddly sheep) who integrated me as if I were family, teaching me all round the slow and simple Chilote life, with full respect for nature and its inhabitants. A part of me will always remain attached to this place. The working and emotional cooperation was wonderful. Moreover, I was able to continue my service thanks to the willingness and openness of the hosts. Thank you with all my heart!

Allesandro, being able to meet you and share with you has left a before and after in Tubildad!, for the rest of the future world packers that will come, they will hear a lot about you!. For us as hosts, it gives us more motivation to continue receiving volunteers after finishing this season with a person as loving and lovely as you. I can't say that I would recommend this experience to a solo female traveler. I enjoyed the work maintaining the land and caring for the sheep but I struggled to connect with most other volunteers and the hosts as their priority is the restaurant and they spend the days there. There is a kitchen with limited food provided. There is a set schedule for working hours which isn't necessarily bad but was not communicated to me prior to arrival. Javier was great to work with and was patient with me. Unfortunately I did not feel comfortable here despite it being a beautiful place.

Zephyr was an excellent worker.
Unfortunately, due to lack of communication on her part, she had a problem with another volunteer and that is why she felt unsafe. She never told us anything so of course we couldn't help her.
Our house, town and island are very safe. 80% of our volunteers are women traveling alone and they leave grateful for the experience.
And regarding food, we ask each volunteer to make a weekly food list and what is request is delivered to them.

I felt very good about my volunteering with Paz and Rodolfo; both are very kind and make you feel comfortable. The place is very beautiful, Casa Tubildad, and the dogs create a homey atmosphere. The tasks were different and nice in my case, and I had time to visit the island during my stay. Unfortunately I was the only volunteer, but I still had a great time, kisses to everyone, thank you very much! x

The experience at the farm was super lovely, the restaurant is beautiful and very different from what we saw on our entire trip through Patagonia; we learned and took away many things from the attention and service they provided. In my case I happened to be a bartender and I learned to prepare some local cocktails: I loved interacting with the customers. The lodging in tubildad is a beautiful place, with a peace and tranquility that relaxed us a lot during our days off; we shared the stay with some young people who taught us a bit how teenagers live and speak in Chile. THANKS TO EVERYONE!!

We have had a great stay at Paz and Rodolfo's lodging, in a very pleasant house to sleep in and a spacious, comfortable room. We worked on various tasks with the help of Javier and Pati, and we had a great time. On our days off we were able to get to know the farm area, its people and their customs. We highly recommend this place for volunteering to enjoy the surroundings, learn new tasks, and share with other volunteers from different places. A very big hug!! Guillem and Lua <3

My stay at the farm with Paz and Rodolfo was a wonderful experience. They are incredibly kind, generous, and welcoming people. From the first day they made me feel at home. The place radiates an indescribable peace and allows you to enjoy nature and simple but very meaningful moments. The tasks were varied and enriching, and each day was full of learning. I learned, shared, and took away memories that I will treasure. Thank you for opening the doors to their home and heart. I wholeheartedly recommend this experience.
