The experience

I need some help on a small horse farm with a small campsite close to the national park of Tiveden. We have had many volunteers staying with us in the past few years and have been greatly enriched by the mutual cultural exchange, however due to the changing life circumstances this summer I am moving back to my home-country and I need a bit of help with packing and the basic maintenance of the farm.

Program Details

Our farm offers the authentic Swedish countryside experience with adventures in beautiful forests among plenty of lakes. Here you can experience the pleasures of simple life in close connection with nature. We prefer to welcome volunteers in couples or friends, since it is a bit remote (5 km to the first village) and we don't want you to be lonely.

Activities & Shift

I need help with packing some things in cardboard boxes, mowing the lawn, maybe an odd painting job, emptying the stable after the horses leave, taking the dog for a walk or for a bicycle run, nothing major, just a bunch of random smaller tasks. I would honestly prefer a guy or two simply because of the physical strength needed to move some boxes or carry the lawn mowing machine (it isn’t that heavy, it’s just that some girl volunteers were not up for the task).

Rules

There aren’t many rules, but I prefer to host volunteers who are independent; this doesn’t mean we won’t socialize at all, but given the circumstances of moving and having a lot on my plate, I would appreciate travellers who also like their time off as the afternoons and evenings will be all free for you to discover the area or enjoy the peace and quiet of the farm.
