I had the best time at the community! 🥰 Such a beautiful, peaceful place where you instantly feel at home. From games, quizzes and karaoke nights to exploring nearby areas, visiting the market and learning to make pasta, every day was special. I loved the balance between fun group moments and quieter, more intimate times with the residents. The work is manageable, leaving plenty of time to relax, walk the dogs or visit the beach! And the homemade food by Mama Caty is to die for! ❤️ Thank you Alex, Pam, Caty , Mimo, Mike and the doggies for making me feel so welcome 💛 Until next time :)

It was truly inspiring to see what Alex, Pam, and so many volunteers have built over the years, and to become one of the people helping care for this place. I believe everyone should experience a project like this at least once because it's impossible to leave unchanged and it is definitely a role model for society. Living here changes your perspective on what life can be: the power of community, respecting nature's rhythms, making the most of what we have, and valuing human connection above all. The food is absolutely incredible, thanks to Caty! I'm so grateful to have found this place.

Staying in the villa was an amazing experience for me, individually and as part of a small community building together a beautiful and peaceful place. I met incredible people and shared awesome experiences with them. Besides learning a lot of new things that I have never imagined doing like wood doors, stone roads and gardening. There was also plenty of food of all types, mostly vegetarian but a great variety. I never felt hungry there, I was actually always full. Thanks Alex for building this place. And also thanks for all current and past volunteers <3

The Crossroads is a unique, warm and beautiful community that i feel lucky to have been apart of for the past 3 weeks. To work on the land in Megalopoli is peaceful - surrounded by nature and mountains and you will constantly learn new things. The other volunteers all bought such beautiful energies that made the experience fun and showed how a true community can work together with each other and the environment. Also, having the dogs and chickens around is a big plus for travellers missing their pets!

This was my first time volunteering and I originally arrived together with my partner with plans to travel more together after volunteering at the community, but he ended up going back home. The community at the community made me feel very comfortable staying alone without any plans for the future. It's a place where you can truly be a part of a community and feel supported by a loving group. Everyone has a voice and an opportunity to contribute in whatever way they feel comfortable. Work is varied and you are allowed to work at your own pace without pressure. I would highly recommend. 💖💖

The community is an oasis of nature, beauty and peace. I was very lucky to be there when a group of volunteers came to participate in a EU funded program, focused on natural building. With our wonderful mentor Nikiforos ("Herato", Crete) we worked on an outdoor kitchen. Alex and the team took us on trips to several places in the area. One of the volunteers, a professional chef, cooked incredible meals.
Note that there is regular consumption of meat, no recycling (except for compost in the villa) and while it is a community setting, Alex is in charge and decides what and when should be done.

Wonderful experience! Pam and alex are kind and open people (they took the volunteers on a holiday to one of the islands during our stay). The food is fresh and plentiful - you wont go hungry! Work hours are clear and respected, tasks are varied (eg: harvesting, making jam, laying stone paths and building an insect hotel). The grounds are BEAUTIFUL and there are so many places to relax. The team often go out together on day trips at the weekend. There are 5 lovely dogs. Many people return to the community and recommend to family/friends. I wouldnt hesitate to apply ❤️

My experience at the Crossoroads was amazing! The community life there is very organized, people and the pets are incredible and the task are very joyful. I had a full room just for me and the food provided was cooked by one of the volunteers who cook very good!
