The Experience

Turmeric is a long crop. The turmeric mothers are planted mid April. Once the turmeric is planted, from April to September, Worldpackers will be mostly keeping up with the regular weeding of the continuous nut grass pressure, as well as assisting in feeding, irrigation, and foliar spray feeding. I ask only 4 hours a day for 5 days of the week. The kitchen is always stocked with vegetarian food and shopping requests are filled each week.

My friend Anthony and I stayed at Don's farm for a month, we had an absolutely great and we intend on returning in the future! The work is enjoyable and relaxing, we spent most of our time weeding, it felt good to know we were helping the tummies (Turmeric) thrive. Don is the best host you could ask for, very kind and down to earth guy. I would highly recommend the farm anyone and can't wait to go back! :)

Dons farm will make you feel at home the moment you arrive. Everyone at the farm is always considerate of your needs. The work is not hard and enjoyable. There are plenty of springs near by that are beautiful and refreshing. It's also a great place to go if you enjoy making music. Visiting Dons turmeric farm is a must if you are thinking about it.

Don is an incredible person, very polite, he always left a large stock of food at ease and made us always comfortable, he was very attentive, helping us with his language, discovering new places and helping with everything we needed. All the people who live there, especially Rainah and Neo, have always been very kind and kind to us. The farm is very beautiful, you find peace, serenity and you understand that happiness is in the simple and small moments.
