We arrived during the shoulder season which is quieter so the tasks were very low key! We got to use the manager's cabin (private) because we were a couple. We had our groceries covered by Hubert who was super fast to respond to questions and messages. We did some wood cutting and splitting - light work with the chainsaw and electric drill too to board up the kitchen for winter. It's sounds like the summers here are crazy busy but there are a lot more volunteers so it's more social - my husband and I made a friend in Aisha who was another volunteer. The car is a lifesaver - we went all over!

Highly recommended this experience at the lodge, it was my first volunteer and all the environment was great, the manager Aish always was very welcoming, and friendly with everyone, Hubert was very nice as well. You will enjoy your time there for sure. The best experience ever. I met some great people there and I practiced my English a lot. Thanks MVC team.

I had an amazing experience volunteering at Mountain View Cabins. Lilia and Nathan are incredibly kind and welcoming, and Robert was always helpful. I learned a lot from him. I also met wonderful volunteers who made the experience even better and I will never forget it.
The place has a peaceful vibe, perfect to relax and disconnect from city life. Hubert is very flexible with schedules, which made everything easy to know other cities around Golden. Willow, the cutest husky ever, belongs to the neighbor next door and made the stay even more special.
Highly recommend!
