I had an amazing time in the hostel ! I was traveling alone for the first time and it felt like I was being part of a new family. Everyone is here to make sure everything is good for you. The work at the bar is really chill and the schedule lets you have a lot of time to explore Rio. A huge thanks to Carola, Leandro and Silas who made this stay really exceptional. I highly recommend this experience !

I spent two amazing months at the hostel, working the nightshifts at the reception. Fernanda, the host is super welcoming and she immediately makes you feel part of the family. The rest of the stuff and other volunteers were also really friendly and you can have a lot of fun with them. The hostel has a very familiar ambiance, it is tranquil (definitely not a party hostel, which I was grateful for), cozy and clean. In case you needed help with something or had any questions, Fernanda was always happy to help.

For three months, I was responsible for Gaia's hostels social media. I worked with Flávia, who is a sweetheart, she is always open to conversations and proposals, and we always defined the posting schedule together; it was very smooth. The hostel has an excellent location, the volunteers' room is comfortable, and the facilities are great; the cleaning team rocks and they are also very dear. The hostel was my home during that time, I had many special moments that stayed with me forever 🫶🏼

It was a great volunteering experience at the hostel, the whole hostel team is great and welcoming, and all the work is explained clearly, which makes things much easier. The hostel's facilities are good, the work is respected, and the location is excellent, being able to walk to the subway and good places in the city. I recommend it!

I had a wonderful experience at Gaia hostel! The hostel has excellent facilities and a great location, I was able to take advantage of the opportunity and get to know the wonderful city of Rio. My task was to prepare breakfast. It was simple and great and everything that was agreed was fulfilled. I would highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Rio for the first time; the neighborhood is very safe. There are bus lines nearby and the subway is four blocks away
