My stay at the hostel was a wonderful experience. I spent a month there. I experienced some culture shock, but it did me a world of good to connect with a place like that village. The task are simple, I liked keeping everything clean all the time. Don't wait to be told what to do. Always look for ways to help them. After the day trippers checked out, it took me less than an hour to finish to clean. And then I'd go for a walk to explore the hostel every day. Try all the Warungs, go to the forest, visit beautiful cafes, walk. Head down to the waterfalls. And enjoy the peace and quiet. ✨

My days in Tetebatu were chill and social. Ari and Aja were good hosts.
The only thing is that when I arrived, it seemed like people didn't know a volunteer was coming. So at first, I didn't get any tasks and felt a bit useless. But we found our groove, the tasks are very minimal and there's plenty of time to explore - either on your own, with other guests or Aja/Ari. Aja took me on a village tour to see the different handicrafts. Make sure to join Saturday night for some live music at the bar behind the hostel. All in all, I had a great time. Thanks!

My experience at the hostel was definitely positive. The place is really simple and completely immersed in nature. I spent really beautiful days there, and what I will remember the most are the people and the relaxing, slow-life atmosphere. The only thing to note is that during the first few days I wasn't assigned any tasks. While this had its perks, as I had lots of time to explore the forest, rice fields and the waterfalls but personally I would have preferred to get involved right from the start to feel useful and part of the team. Tue whole team was truly welcoming.

I had such an amazing time in the hostel. The area is absolutely beautiful and was the highlight of my Lombok trip. Everyone from the hostel was so kind, and I met so many amazing people. The tasks were fairly straightforward, just making beds for guests checking in, cleaning the bathrooms and emptying trash etc. Plenty of time to explore the hostel! Saturday nights at Sama Sama are a great way to meet locals and other travellers. Thank you guys for everything ❤️

My time at the hostel is something I will remember for the rest of my life. Everyone here is insanely friendly and there is a sense of community here that is definitely something special. From the locals to the travelers, everyone was amazing. Libor, Aja, Ari, and Ida were the perfect hosts. Once you have finished prepping the hostel for guests the day is yours. Learn about the local culture, laze around at local warungs and cafes and then spend your nights playing pool at Sama Sama. I would recommend this to anyone! The perfect way to see Lombok

Libor, Aja, Ida and Hari welcomed me with open arms and it wasn't hard to see why travelers stick around for so long. Immersive culture, inclusive social scenes at the bar next door, and many restaurants to choose from nearby. Everybody treats you like family!
The work was minimal - basic cleaning and setting up for checkins/checkouts. Everyone was very helpful for transport, activities, flexibility in working days to attend to daytrips around the island.
Would highly recommend and will definitely be back!

I spent two weeks in the hostel and it was incredible. Both the team and the place are amazing. Libor is great, and the work is very simple and takes very little time, so you have plenty of free hours to explore the area, which is beautiful. I felt very comfortable and I 100% recommend the experience.
