I came to the host thinking I would only be cleaning and repairing, but after meeting João, Robson, and the rest of the volunteers, I was welcomed and included that I was happy to pitch-in wherever I could. They had me helping serve customers in the restaurant which was great for my Portuguese practice, and they were very generous with meals and other fun activites outside of work. In the two and a half weeks I was there, we went on two waterfall hikes and a daytrip to get the know the local area. The location is a paradise, and the group really felt like a family. Can't wait to return!

It was my first volunteering experience; I wasn't sure if that was what I wanted, but the experience was so positive that I already have two more scheduled. The guys are amazing! Approachable, flexible and understanding. All other volunteers and staff are too (miss you João, Robinho, Nick, Grazzi, Gabi, Claudia, Luca, Cauã and Leandra...), from the first day it felt like I was among people I knew, a super friendly environment. The work is reasonably light. The region is beautiful, with the dam, waterfalls and all the surrounding nature, a very calm place, it's just far from the city. Valuable experience, highly recommend.

The host was my first volunteering experience! It was an incredible experience! An organized and relaxed environment! I was very well received by João Bruno, Robison and Graziela! The host's kitchen is wonderful; I learned a lot from Robison, he knows how to teach with mastery! Grazi is a great mom figure, takes care of everyone and is super helpful, João Bruno is super friendly and attentive! The volunteers I met there were also incredible! A big family that always has room for one more! I loved the interaction with the pets of this lovely family! I loved the experience and I highly recommend! Gratitude to all!

The time I spent with the host was extremely enriching! João and Robinho are sensational, very patient, friendly, and fair. As if that weren't enough, Santo Hilário is a beautiful place, with nearby waterfalls and great views. It is a wonderful experience that I recommend to anyone who is thinking about spending some time in a calmer place.

The host is a surreal energy, incredibly beautiful... There are many lessons learned, both in the collective and in personal aspects. I had opportunities to learn other things beyond what was proposed; João, Grazi and Mique, and some dear ones, always do everything to make it a good experience. I loved being here in front of the Minas Sea and with the company of the little dogs, always on the trails, waterfalls, etc...
