I stayed working there for almost 3 months, and didn't see time pass by ! The place is amazing, the volunteers and guests as well, working there was a wonderful experience that I recommand to all Definitely one of the best hostels to work at, good working hours, the breakfast is fabulous, the kitchen is big and has a lot of stuff to cook with, lots of spaces to work from home or chill, the neighboorhood is calm and has a good number of bars, markets and restaurants, I really loved it !

Volunteering at the hostel has felt like being apart of a second home for me. It has provided lovely connections I believe will last a lifetime, a perfect environment for discovering Rio's Carioca culture, and opportunity to learn balance in work and play. I would recommend this volunteer experience.

Whoa, man! My time at the hostel was rad. Polished my English and Spanish skills, soaked up heaps of new cultures. I mean, where else could you get this, right? Plus, it's all set near beaches, waterfalls, groovy bars, parties, museums, and the city center. And despite being a residential 'hood, there's a Bohemian vibe going on. The hostel itself is lit! Common areas to chill with a pool table, bar, video games, and a TV lounge. Not to mention, it's not just fun and games. The place offers real growth opportunities too. What a ride!

I have no words to describe what my volunteering experience at the hostel was like! I made friendships that I will carry with me for my entire life and I connected with people from all over the world and they were my family during that time. The relationship we had was like a family, together with the guests, each leaving a different mark on me and with that summer vibe with everyone gathered and talking! These moments will stay with me forever. I met amazing people!! Once again at the the hostel and, again, very well received. The experience at the hostel will be quite different depending on the season in Rio. Low season: little movement in the city, which is great for exploring some tourist spots in a more tranquil way. In high season the city and the hostel get crowded and, for that reason, it ends up being ideal for those who want to practice languages and/or live Rio in a more chaotic way. Staying at the the hostel will give you free pass to some parties, in addition to being a great location (you will save a lot on transportation).

Volunteering at the hostel was an incredible experience. The work was great and from the first day they welcomed me as part of the family. The environment is very pleasant, the location is excellent, and it's a perfect place to meet people and make friends. Moreover, I felt very safe, even traveling alone as a woman. It was really a very special experience.
