Staying at the H'mong the the school for one month was definitely one of the best experiences of my life! Ha is so welcoming and treats you like family; she is really easygoing and does her best to make your stay comfortable. Teaching the two groups (kids and teenagers) is very different, but both are rewarding in their own way. I really connected with students from both groups and got to know them. The whole community is also really friendly, and I got to learn a lot about H’mong culture. The whole experience was so interesting and rewarding. I hope to come back in the future!!

Ha was a great host, made me feel welcomed. It was nice to stay in a local village surrounded with nature and good neighbours. The classes were chill and you have freedom towards the classes as long as the kids are following. The accommodation was basic and you also have hot shower!

I had an amazing 2 weeks with Ha at H'Mong the the school in Lao Chai. The students were incredibly sweet and eager to learn, making the whole environment so welcoming. I timed my trip poorly as I arrived during lunar new year which they celebrate for weeks in Vietnam, so classes were reduced both in frequency and student attendance. While this meant I didn't get to teach as much or meet as many students as anticipated, it gave me a lot of free time to go trekking and explore the area and Sapa. Do note that the the school is a 2 hour walk or 25 minute drive from Sapa town. Couldn't recommend more!

Ha went above and beyond for myself and my boyfriend. She created such an amazing and welcoming atmosphere, and showed us both so much love!! My time teaching English was one I will never forget, the kids are awesome- so smart, kind and of course silly! I will miss seeing the kids and Ha every day, and can't wait for the time I return to Vietnam because I will definitely come back to this volunteer. Ha is creating a real social impact and helping these kids to have a brighter future, I've never met someone so selfless and who truly puts the needs of others first<3 Je t'aime Ha!!!!

We spent one week at Ha's and left feeling like we could have stayed forever. Ha (combination of sweetness, fun and strength) will make you feel at home and make you discover Hmong culture. Lessons are mainly consisting in playing and interacting with the kids. Around the the school are amazing landscapes when it's sunny and a misty atmosphere when it's foggy. You'll always have some animals to meet up with. We would love to come back !!

I stayed with Ha for one month, and it was a truly amazing experience. Ha is one of the most selfless people I have ever met—she goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome. I had the chance to meet many of her friends, and I genuinely felt like part of her family. the the school she is building is a wonderful asset to the community. You have complete freedom in the classes you teach, and the children are absolutely lovely. You have a lot of freetime to explore the area or even climb the fansipan. I would 100% recommend staying here to experience this amazing place. Thank you Ha!!!

I had an amazing experience in Lao Chai, it was really rewarding and the cultural exchange was higher than my expectations.

Ha is one of the kindest host I had, worried about sharing local culture and experiences. She has an incredible heart and is always open to conversations and new ideas. She welcomes you and make you feel like home.

The volunteer can be demanding, teching kids requires some energy. But I loved the experience and the kids (and adults) will win your heart.

I highly recommend this volunteer to those looking for cultural exchange and are keen to help local communities

Ha was a great host who always looked after any needs that I had and often exceeded expectations with her generosity. The experience of teaching English to the local children in a village close to Sa Pa was very meaningful and satisfying. I truly felt that I made a difference in their lives by being there. I would like to return one day in the future.
