I personally really enjoyed my stay here in Dubrovnik while volunteering at the hostel. The working hours were agreed on and if I had any issues I felt comfortable speaking to Matea. I mainly did the cleaning shifts, so I'd always have time to go to the beach after and join in the hostel activities in the evening. Be prepared you have to actually work here, don't have the expectation that every shift will be socialising with guests and chilling otherwise you won't enjoy it. I was willing to work 30 hrs a week in exchange to live in a beautiful the hostel. I'd say I've made friends for life here!

I really enjoyed my time at the hostel. The volunteers share the North Building which is a short walk away from the main hostel and was a great place to live. The other volunteers and staff were great also. The community within the walls is lovely and Dubrovnik is a great place to stay.

An incredible experience living in the heart of Dubrovnik. You have the opportunity to meet new people from all over the world, practice your English, and travel to nearby towns, or even to countries like Bosnia or Montenegro. During my time there, it wasn't peak season, so the workload wasn't excessive or overwhelming. Furthermore, Matea and Dario take the time to explain your tasks and adapt to your preferences. Thanks to them and my colleagues for making this experience even more special, for being home for these five weeks. I hope to return to Hostal Angelina in the future. 😊

My time here was certainly mixed. the workload is definitely too much for unpaid work in my opinion, and i didn't think the benefits outweighed how hard we were worked. some days i was cleaning and making beds from 10am-2pm without a single break. a lot of the time you are too exhausted from working a shift to enjoy your spare time. several other volunteers left due to various reasons and didn't fulfil their full time and the only thing that prevented me from doing the same was the kindness i received from the friends that i made. overall, i would recommend if you're willing to work hard.

It was great, location is the main reason. As you are in the heart of the hostel. It was social and lovely stay. It is not a walk in the park.

I spent one month volunteering at the hostel in Dubrovnik, working the night shift throughout my four weeks there. Overall, it was a really nice experience. I loved the people I met during my stay, as well as Dubrovnik itself. The hosts, Matea and Dario, were very kind and friendly, and they were always clear about what was expected from us and our tasks. The night shifts could definitely be quite tiring as we worked overnight, but since I only had to do three shifts per week, I felt that it was totally worth it and gave me plenty of time to enjoy the city and meet other people.

It was overall a great volunteering, the staff and volunteers were really nice but the work espacially in the beginning was way to hard for free work it was 6hours shift almost non stop. But the food and the accommodation was really nice you are in the city center so that's always a bonus
