Raimond is more of a friend than just a host; he is someone who opens his heart to you, welcomes you warmly, and makes you feel right at home with his delicious meals. I highly recommend him and hope to return with my wife—he is a wonderful person.

Great place to come and volunteer. The view is incredible, and the food Raymundo cooks is delicious. It truly meets everything it offers. There is a lagoon just a few meters away, which makes the experience even more amazing. We came for two weeks and ended up staying for three. I highly recommend it 🤟🏾

I am honored to have had this as my first Worldpackers experience. Raymond is a host who is both knowledgeable in his work and considerate of his volunteers; I especially enjoyed partaking in intriguing conversations over his home-cooked meals. More importantly, he taught me about the simple way of living, and how one can immerse within nature to appreciate being in the moment. While the tasks can feel physically demanding at times, the payoff is definitely rewarding. I would recommend this program to anyone wanting to connect with the outdoors while being on a charming Tuscan property.

It was my first worldpackers experience, and it was so wonderful! there is a lot of work to be done on the property, so it's easy to find something you want to help with. the work can be exhausting at times but it's very rewarding seeing the property come together, especially when you want to learn/improve upon your skills. raymond is a nice host who took great care of me, and illaria who is usually present on the weekends is very sweet and kind. some delicious meals between both of them, and even some other dishes from around the world depending on where the volunteers are from!

I stayed at Raymond’s place for a few days and had a really good experience. He is a kind and inspiring person with a beautiful project and big dreams, and I truly support what he is creating there.
The place is peaceful, surrounded by beautiful countryside — perfect if you want to relax, reconnect with nature, and experience simple, authentic living. I felt welcome and comfortable during my stay.
If you are traveling and looking for a calm place with good energy and a meaningful project, I definitely recommend visiting Raymond’s place. Thank you for the nice time and I wish you all the best w

The volunteering itself was good. It's true that the water wasn't drinkable (although they brought bottled water from a fountain) and the house was very dirty, but another volunteer came and cleaned it. Otherwise, I was only with Raymond for three days because he went on vacation, but luckily other volunteers had cars so they were able to give me a ride to the station when I left. I really enjoyed having fresh eggs for breakfast every morning :)

I had fun at Raymond’s place and I feel like my help was needed and appreciated. I was directly involved in the planning and creation of the irrigation system for the lawns. Raymond provided more than enough food and it was always delicious. If we wanted something specific we could ask and he would get it the next time. Though there are things to be aware of about this place that might not suit everyone. The house itself is located quite far from the nearby town and the buses there are not so frequent. You have to walk about an hour to get to a town that has regular trains.

My 30 days of staying here can be described this way : 1. This is a farm, and the work can be hard for several hours. 2. The conditions in the rooms are on a medieval level. The tap water and the shower water come from an unclean lake. 3. The nearest store is 3 km away, but you'll find basic food supplies in the kitchen. Ray knows where to buy really good wine. 4. I recommend visiting Terme San Giovanni, Florence, and Siena. And be brave to start conversations with italians you meet on the streets.

Raymond replied

The water supply is not unclean. It is very good, natural, soft water.
While Nikita was here there was an issue with the house water. We later found that it was passing through an old water softener which was causing the water to smell. That has been removed and the whole system sterilised. The water from the lake has never smelt.

I had a nice stay at the home with Raymond and his amazing cat Swami!! The room wasn't very clean, but I guess it's part of the volunteer work to clean it. Raymond is a great cook, and it was cool to chat and listen to some music in the evening.
