My three weeks at the hostel were my first volunteering experience, and I really don't think could have had a better first stay. The team at the hostel run a cosy, wholesome hostel, but are also professional and have figured out a great workflow for the volunteers. The tasks will never take more than 3 hours, and very often I finished within 1.5hrs, which left plenty of time to explore Hualien. 😁 My only note to other volunteers is that the six-day week makes it a little hard to plan to go to other cities on off days, but I found there was plenty to do in Hualien in my three weeks there.

Very chill and sustainable place to take a break during a long, long travel! 🥹✨ I really appreciated how Una was always trying to help us get around, letting us know about local events, activities, and things happening nearby. She was super kind, friendly, and always willing to share. It was such a nice experience staying here — a perfect place to slow down, relax, meet people, and enjoy Hualien at a slower pace. 💛 And ♡ to all the friends I met here! You guys are all so cute and lovely!! 🥹💗

I spent 4 weeks at the hostel and had the best time thanks to Una, Aga, Nicole, Xiaohei, and Tao! They showed me around their fav spots in Hualien, shared their knowledge of Taiwan, and even let me use their phone number for some tricky admin. The hostel is lovely, with 3 upper levels of rooms and a ground-floor cafe run by Nicole. Daily cleaning tasks are straightforward and go by fast with a good playlist. I even did some design work which was fun! I'm so grateful to have been a part of this amazing team and will miss staying here <3

Thank you Una, Aga and family for a beautiful experience 🫶 I was warmly welcomed into their family run hostel and immediately felt at home. Una was a kind host and invited me for many shared meals and even to play badminton with her friends and family. Tao took me on several roadtrips and showed me some of his favourite “hidden spots” in Hualien! The work at the hostel is simple and the hours are respected.
Hualien is a cool city- especially if you like nature and good coffee! Thank you for such a positive first Worldpackers experience! 🫶

It is a really great volunteer experience with hosts that really make you feel welcome and cared about. It is a very cool hostel and the city is definitely underrated. Both the mountains and the sea are nearby and the city has an amazing night market and every convenience you need. Una is the host of the volunteer experience and communicated everything clearly so that after just a day or two, I knew what to do. She and her husband are fantastic hosts and became like a home away from home for the few weeks I was here. Absolutely recommend to any volunteer who wants a chill experience

The entire the hostel team made me feel welcome throughout my stay. Our interactions went far beyond the tasks assigned. Thank you to Xiaohei, Una, and Nico for sharing with us their daily lives and favorite spots in Hualien! Also, thank you to Aga for taking the time to explain the history of Taiwan and of the hostel. From the moment I arrived, Una, Aga, Nico & XiaoHei made me feel so at home at the hostel. They all gave me great recommendations for must sees/dos/eats in Hualien and even included me in some of their own special plans. The bed is SO comfy!! The volunteering was great - everything is explained well and you aren't always doing the same thing which makes time go by fast. My time at WorldInn has been amazing and I would recommend this experience to anybody looking to truly immerse themselves in the beauty of Taiwan.

Una, Aga and the whole team at the hostel were wonderful to spend time with. I really appreciated learning the story of how they began the hostel and they gave us some great reccomendations for food and places to see.
The hostel is very thoughtfully designed and a nice place to hang out. The hostel is very well maintained, which meant that the cleaning tasks were quite pleasant to carry out.
I had the privellege of staying at the hostel during their festival which was a great way to learn more about Taiwanese and aboriginal culture ☺️ I would reccomended this place to anyone visiting Taiwan.
