It was my first volunteering experience, and I couldn't have asked for a better one! I felt welcomed by everyone and the hostel felt like a big, comfortable house where you could easily meet people and do activities together everyday.
The working hours were fully respected, and the work was quite chill. Ramiro, the manager, and the whole team- Laia, Nico, Ahlem and Ali were amazing, friendly and supportive. The location was also great, with most attractions within walking distance.
If you're considering applying, go for it! :) You'll surely have an amazing time!

This place is truly a home away from home! All of the staff is warm people, helpful and fun, they welcomed me with open hands and made me feel like a part of the team right away. I have been volunteering before and this has been the best experience so far - taskwise, communicationwise and facilitywise - the facilities for volunteers are the same level of quality as for the guests, which in my experience is rare. The tasks are fun and equally assorted among volunteers weekly. It's never boring, everything is transparent, working hours are respected. I'd definitely love to return here some day!

I had an amazing time working in Black Swan. The whole team was very welcoming, supportive, and great to work with from day one. I want to thank Ramiro for always being incredibly helpful and genuinely caring about how we felt and whether everything was running smoothly. Here at the Black Swan Hostel, this was my first volunteering experience, and it was the perfect place for my first time. Everyone I met here was incredibly friendly, whether it was the other volunteers, the reception staff, the cleaners, the managers, or the guests. The hostel, with all its rooms and facilities, was excellent, and the location is absolutely perfect. I truly enjoyed my stay here and can only recommend it to everyone. Best regards Mignano

I stayed for one month anf it flew by so fast i was not even ready to go yet. It was yet the best experience of my life and i am so grateful and happy to be able to spend my time in this hostel with amazing staff and amazing travelers from all around the world! The working schedule is completely fine and i had so much fun during my shifts! I will definitely try to come back either as a guest or a volunteer again! Thank you! 🫶🏼

It was my first time volunteering and Black Swan was the perfect choice! Everybody (receptionists, cleaning staff, the other volunteers) was nice and helped me feel comfortable from the beginning. The tasks were easy, I really liked to do the tour guide part. I also improved my English and Spanish, which was important to me.
