I volunteered at Sueños y Huellas for two weeks, and I wish I would have stayed longer! The entire team behind the foundation is amazing, the kids are so welcoming and sweet. The experience gives you a new perspective of life, and the different ways to live it. There were a lot of meaningful moments, and honestly I would recommend everyone who visits Colombia to volunteer here! You leave with new experiences, memories, friends and a deeper understanding of the daily life of the people in Medellin. I will forever be grateful for this experience!

My time at the project was an enriching experience. The neighbourhood where the Volunteer house is located is great for experiencing local Medellín culture.I felt safe there and the locals are very friendly. everything you need is walkable distance. The accommodation is amazing. The time spent with the children was really special. You have an opportunity to facilite a class for or organise activities. It's a great way to practice your Spanish. The work tasks are straight forward (helping in kitchen and in the classroom with the kids.) All the staff made me feel so welcome 💕thank you

Volunteering at the project truly was a rich experience that I wouldn't switch for anything. First of all, the staff of the foundation were so welcoming and helpful. The kids were amazing and radiated so much love and positivity. I admire the staff of the foundation because they are truly working with all their heart and it shows. I learned so much from the experience regarding the kids but also the other projects that they have. It was truly meaningful work, so I really recommend it to anyone who wants to do something important.

I can't recommend the project enough. Volunteering with this program was one of the most meaningful experiences i've had, I'm disappointed my plans didn't allow me to stay longer than 2 weeks (stay longer!!) The team is incredibly passionate and truly cares about the project, kids, community and the volunteers. Everything they do comes from a place of heart and they make you feel very valued and welcome. The volunteer house was in a great location and a 20 min walk from the foundation. I was hesitant at first because I was new to Medellin and this area but everything was fine for me.

My experience with the project has been so special and I felt so welcomed by all members of the team. The kids were kind and patient and full of so much love. I was surprised at how well received I was despite only having a basic level of Spanish. The house is a 20 minute walk to the foundation and is in a good location with supermarkets, parks and gyms close by. It's spacious and well equipped. The other volunteers were also easy to get along with. I'm so happy I spent my time here, I would recommend volunteering at the foundation to anyone who's interested.

My time at the project was incredible! I was supposed to stay for two weeks and I extended it to another because of how amazing it was. The foundation is so inspiring and constantly doing activities to better Colombia. The kids were so sweet and welcoming, I will miss every one! I also got to participate in experiences outside of the “school” which were also eye opening such as time with the indigenous community. The living space was super comfortable and private, the area was safe to walk around freely, and all the necessary accommodations were included. I highly recommend this!
