The experience at the pousada Tapajós was wonderful! I had plenty of time for enjoying the town and the tasks were always clear and agreed the day before. The breakfast was good and the bed was comfortable. Also, Sandra arranged a great tour for me. The hostel is in a great location, 2mins away from the beach. The last night we had a nice dinner with the other volunteers and Sandra joined as well, there's a very familiar vibe in the hostel. Don't miss the opportunity! 😉

I loved my experience at Hostel Tapajós, Sandra welcomed me very warmly, I felt welcomed and I learned a lot about the culture of Alter do Chão with her and her family, everyone was very dear. I loved contributing and I hope to return! Alter is a magical place and being close to people as nice as those I met at Hostel Tapajós made everything even more special.

I had the opportunity to experience different schedules (morning, afternoon and night) and also to contribute in various roles at the guesthouse. This made the experience very dynamic and allowed me to get to know different sides of the place's routine. The environment provides a pleasant coexistence among guests, volunteers and members of the community. And there is still the privilege of being in Alter do Chão: freshwater beaches, river, sunset, culture, gastronomy, people and that Amazonian energy that makes everything seem even more special.

It was a great experience volunteering at Pousada Tapajós. The hosts Sandra and Reinaldo are very dear, always present in day-to-day life and willing to help with whatever is necessary; I had a very good relationship with Joelma and all the staff of the Pousada. The volunteering tasks are quite easy to carry out, during days off and breaks there is plenty of time to explore the city, and the location is very good. It is a place I will miss a lot.

Sandra and her family welcomed me very well, I felt welcomed, the work was very smooth and within what had been agreed, and the hostel is very comfortable and clean. Besides being next to the beach (which is very beautiful), close to shops, and the breakfast is great. Volunteers can choose a tour to go on as a courtesy, and what I had the opportunity to do was an incredible experience. I highly recommend it 🧡

My experience at the hostel Tapajos was very good. The work at the guesthouse was quite calm, at the reception. I liked it a lot; I felt really welcomed, I was able to make real and sincere friendships, the host is a very nice person and takes care of the volunteers as if they were her own children, always concerned about our well-being. I would definitely recommend this experience.

It's hard to leave Tapajós. Sandra and her family are amazing people who welcome those who arrive with a lot of love and dedication. The work is very well coordinated and communicated, in a way that it's possible to enjoy the stay in Alter and also feel that we are part of this beautiful family. Those were special days, full of exchange, learning, laughter and love. I am immensely grateful for this experience so transformative and special.

The work at the reception of Pousada Tapajós is light. The routine is calm, without rush. You can choose between doing the reception or taking care of the cleaning, but both are easy and you still have free time.
For those who enjoy a slow pace in Alter, it works really well.
Thanks to Sandra for always being flexible and patient <3

The hostel is excellent and very well located. The people are welcoming and the activities are calm. The host is a good person, but with a difficult temperament and may not be very empathetic when she faces personal problems, and, despite having done a good job, my service was undervalued when I chose to shorten my stay, which is undergoing changes and had the land sold, so it would be closed for a week, with a drilling in the backyard, a situation I wasn't informed about before or after the booking and that has caused tension in the environment, making it no longer easygoing.

So Mirela, here you talk about an issue that honestly isn't even within my knowledge and how you found out to come here to say that the land was sold, I think that's absurd, and simply because you were contradicted you weren't satisfied and you're going to come here to say what you shouldn't; patience has limits.
And another thing, there was no need to warn or communicate anything, because the work does not interfere in any way with the development of the hostel.
