I was worried that I would find it difficult to connect with people while still learning Portuguese, but as soon as I arrived at the host, my worries disappeared. Paulo, Professor, Palisson & the other volunteers welcomed me with so much warmth & kindness, & being there really did feel like home. I learned so much about Brazilian culture & food, heard so many amazing stories & jokes (#MukTat), & I will carry these people & memories in my heart wherever I go. I recommend this experience for anyone looking to learn new skills while building real, meaningful connections with people & nature!

From the moment of arrival Paulo was a wonderfull host. Polite, social, well traveled and well spoken, this created the perfect foundation for the deep and interesting conversations we were gonna have during my time in the host. Situated on a hill overlooking green and blue with the sun shining down it truly is a place of beauty. Perfect for everybody who wants to be in nature, peace and a local enviroment.

My experience at the host was amazing. Paulo, Professor and Adriano are loving, caring people and make you feel like part of the family from the start and encourage you to be your best version. Brisa, Cuscuzeira and Mingau (two dogs and a cat) are adorable. Their home is lovely and full of color, art and love, one of the most beautiful places I've ever been to. I also appreciated the fact that everything is organized very nicely. I am glad I had this opportunity.

The host is a place of healing, light and peace. A beautiful environment, where every corner has a different art, making the space unique and special. The tasks are calm, varied and pleasant, with very flexible schedules. The hosts are incredible people! I had an immersive sensory experience at the host; all corners of the house, as well as the outdoor areas, are filled with joy; each corner has a decoration, a message, a love; the host exudes the happiness of that place; it was a wonderful few days in this special place of healing! I plan to come back more often! The work is also very calm; the tasks are important to keep the house in a state of harmony; I already miss the host and I leave there even more joyful!

This is my second volunteering with the host, to see how much I love this place. Paulo, Professor and Palisson are amazing people, each with their own way, their life stories, and gradually the connections reveal themselves. The house is beautiful, welcoming and the hosts let us feel at ease. There are no strict rules, everything runs on common sense, affection and reciprocity. I would recommend it a thousand and one times!

It was sensational, I have to be honest that I didn't take advantage of what there was to enjoy because my head was full of problems. But the host is the place where you should leave the problems behind and throw yourself in. You will really love it. Eating with Paulo, Professor, Palisson and Isac at that giant table full of stories made me feel good, actually very good. I even learned to eat greens, haha. I really didn't eat at all. I learned to cook more with Palisson, I learned to open a coconut in the best way, haha. The gringa called me a cutie, haha, I liked it. JESUS IS THE WAY...
