This was an absolutely amazing experience. It was my first ever world packers experience and I couldn't have asked for a better opportunity. The hostel itself is beautiful and very well equipped. The work is very simple and straightforward. The town itself is very quant and beautiful perfect costal getaway. The real standout of this whole experience is definitely the people the other volunteers were amazing but Darius really made my stay amazing. He's very accommodating and welcoming, He's so kind and gracious and you can tell he loves having volunteers. I highly recommend staying here!!

It was my first volunteering experience in a hostel and that was wonderful ! I highly recommend it.
Darius was very welcoming, friendly and took the time to show us the local area. The hostel is beautiful and so peaceful. It felt like home.
This part of Scotland is so beautiful and there is so much to see around.
I was only suppose to stay for 2 weeks but I quickly decided to extend my stay to enjoy it for even longer.
I'm really grateful for this experience and will come back for sure !

I had a great stay at the hostel. It's a great place along the Fife Coastal Path. The host, Darius, was very friendly and took us all over to different villages/cities, castles, cliffs, etc. We were never bored! The accommodations were nice and clean and the hours were respected. It's a small place so it's easy to meet other travelers as well. I would definitely recommend this experience! Thank you Darius for a great stay!

To be honest, I was scared before meeting Darius and the hostel. I didn't know really how would it be and I was praying for my host to be nice etc. All these things anyone facing such an experience would think. Now we are kind of a family. He was calm, patient, cared truly for us, drove us everywhere, showed us the region, we played golf and pool and poker and watched films and drunk wine while playing the guitar and singing. I hope the Bob Dylan spirit entered the hostel. I'll remember my days in Anstruther until I die, for sure. Cannot really explain all the things I've learnt. Thank you.

This has been such an amazing experience that I'm so grateful for. The work hours have been really good and the work itself is not overwhelming. Darius helps a lot and is very flexible with days off and etc. There is a lot of free time and I did a bunch of adventures. It's such a beautiful place and the locals are really sweet! I really recommend this stay:)

I'm so grateful for my time at the hostel. Darius was so friendly and kind. He would always make sure that we were enjoying our stay and also made sure we got a chance to see as much as we can of the area. The work is not too hard and there's great views of the water while you work. Anstruther is a small town but there's so much to see and do in the town and in the other towns close by. I would highly recommend this place if you're wanting an experience in a Scottish fishing village with beautiful sea views and lovely locals.

It's been a pleasure! Jimmy, the manager, is a sociable guy, always ready for helping, having a beer, running, hiking and so on. The work is easy to do: you start by 10AM, and it consists on cleaning bathrooms and the kitchen, doing beds and vacuuming the hostel. Working in the morning normally takes you 2h and 1/2, so it's very fair. In the afternoon, it's check-in time, which is also quite simple. In your free time, you can run, hike, play pull, read, listen to live music, have some drinks, and so on. 100% recommendable. Thanks for all and see you soon, guys!

It was a great experience, Jimmy is very cool, funny, and always attentive, without a doubt I would come back! The hostel is very nice and has a room with a projector to watch movies! the city is very quiet but always has a good time with the people of the hostel!
