My first Worldpacker experience and I couldn't be more happy! It was everything I was expecting and more ! I had the opportunity to meet the most amazing people both tourists and volunteers. The work load match perfectly with the description and I find it fair for what we got back as volunteers. If you are looking to escape form the traditional Aussie backpacking routes and you want to live a true island experience this place is absolutely perfect !!!

My stay at the camping has been the camping! A beautiful place to rest and recharge. Geoff and the managers were super lovely and welcoming, organising regular staff dinners and group outings (including fishing missions!). The work is totally fair for the time off you get to spend on the beautiful island, with a mixture of housekeeping and gardening, and the managers were open to any extra projects you wanted to suggest too! Will really miss the place. Thanks for having me guys! (And letting me run wild with art projects!)

GKI felt like finding a second family! 🌴 The managers & volunteers are amazing. Work is a chill 3hrs/day, leaving heaps of time for snorkeling with my GoPro or sunset hikes (pro tip: wear trail shoes, but stay barefoot otherwise! 🦶). My glamping tent was so cozy and the kitchen has everything. Food logistics are tricky on an island, so bringing protein powder might be a good idea! But the calming vibe is something everyone needs to experience. Truly special!!

The camping was a dream to stay at! Managers were absolutely incredible, and I meet some amazing friends! We worked for 3 hours in the morning and had the rest of the day to explore the island! Wish I could have stayed longer, but hoping to go back in the future. Extremely thankful for this experience!

The work mainly involved cleaning and bed-making. Since we worked as a team with other volunteers, everything was well organized and easy to manage. We supported each other and worked in a friendly and positive atmosphere. The host's instructions were always clear, and both the host and the volunteers treated each other like family, with kindness and respect.

GKI the camping is a perfect opportunity to unplug from reality & recharge in nature! The community is a major bonus, but if you want to opt out of social gatherings you can do that as well. I felt safe, comfortable, & welcomed. Teamwork was a central component to the work which made it fun and rewarding. I loved tending to the garden & hiking the island in my free time. Like hitting the Worldpackers jackpot! Could not have had a better experience at the camping. The work was exactly as agreed upon and the accommodations are the camping. There are endless places to explore and things to do, but above all else the people make this experience. Truly a perfect find!

I had such a good experience at the village on the camping. You are well looked after by the lovely Anthony and Jeppe who manage the village. The work is very reasonable and the guests and other volunteers are the camping. The island is an incredibly beautiful and special place, nothing quite like it!
