This place has a very strategic location, only 15 minutes from the airport by car and 5 minutes from Cenang Beach by walking. There are also plenty of shops, 7-Eleven, and local restaurants nearby. Mantra, the owner, is a very warm, welcoming, and friendly person. We were given trust and freedom to do our tasks responsibly. The other volunteers were also kind and helpful. I made many wonderful memories here, and it truly felt like home. I highly recommend this place!

I had a really nice time volunteering at the hostel, even though I was there for one week. Mantra and Kyairy were kind and welcoming and I really enjoyed spending time and talking with them even though they were a bit busy preparing to close the hostel. I was happy to help, especially with housekeeping and welcoming guests. I also met a lovely group of travelers and we shared so many great moments together. It was an honor to be there for the final days the hostel. Thank you so much for this unforgettable experience. 😊

An amazing experience be part of this hostel for 2 weeks. Mantra showed me the main local places and suggestions for local food and culture. I recommend for sure if you're thinking on coming to Langkawi. Also you will meet Raj, best person in the island to go out and enjoy your free time!

Wow! Staying at House of Lion was an incredibly exciting experience. Mantra is a great host - very open, free-spirited, but well organised and professional when it's needed. She has built a big community of people (employees and volunteers) around her, who instantly take you in as family. Being Malay and having lived in Langkawi for the last 5yrs (if i remember correctly 😅) she is the keeper of all the best reccs around the island - food, beaches, sunsets and parties. 🚀 I really enjoyed staying with her and would come back anytime! ❤️‍🔥

I loved staying at wolves and working at lions. Mantra the host is an incredible person as well as a nice organized boss to work with. I already miss working with the other volunteers and going out for dinner with the people working or staying there. I felt so welcomed and respected my whole stay. The tasks (cleaning, housekeeping, check in and outs) and working hours are reasonable and managable. We always got so many recccomendations were to go in our freetime or where to go out or nice restaursmts etc. I can really say it felt like a second home and i will definetly come back. Thank you <3

My experince was amazing at the hostel Wolves! Mantra is the best Host and an amazing person! On the first shift you are not working alone and get a pretty good training. The tasks (cleaning, check ins, check outs) are good to get done in the daily 4 hours! Thanks also to the rest of the team!

I had an incredible week in Langkawi. The hostel is simple, but the experience was great. The other volunteers I shared with were lovely and created a beautiful atmosphere. Mantra made me feel very welcome, always organizing activities and inviting everyone to be part of them. Some facilities could benefit from a bit of maintenance, but everything works and the place has a very warm and friendly vibe.

I loved my time at the hostel! It feels like home. The hostel is chill, workload is just as described, shifts are in the morning or afternoon, sometimes in the evening. Shifts are sent 1/3 days in advance usually. Mantra is very funny and will teach how to work in a hostel, very useful especially if you plan to volunteer in other hostels! I'm glad I had this chance and would go back again!💗
