The guest house will stay with me for the rest of my life. The city of Kyoto is amazing and there is many things to do, however my experience was made 10x better through the guest house. The people who you'll work with and get to know are amazing and come from all backgrounds. Everyone is extremely kind, welcoming and eager to get to know you. The work is challenging but enjoyable, the hostel itself is a great space with lots of room and offers different kinds of work everyday. I could not recommend it more and I will always miss my experience there.

Overall, I had a good experience at the guest house. The staff is Japanese; a good environment to practice your Japanese and get tips for traveling. Also, everyone is really nice. There were a few downsides, though. They only have one volunteer stay at the hostel , so during my free time, it was just me, while at other volunteer jobs there were other volunteers to chat and hang out with. It can also get pretty noisy in the hostel and the room. You do get free coffee and tea, and can use the laundry machine and a bicycle for free. The location is very close to the station, which is a big plus.
