My experience in Goya was unbelievable. Miriam and her family were incredibly welcoming and so willing to help at all times. As for the teaching, every single student I taught was keen to learn, and attempt to hold a conversation with me. The institute is such a brilliant project, and what I admire most is the constant drive to improve teaching methods to make it as comfortable + effective as possible for the students. I fully recommend travellers to stop by, it really is worth it!

We loved our time with Mirian and her family, and are so grateful for the two weeks we got to spend with them. We felt so welcomed and appreciated from the moment we arrived, the work was flexible, and the home itself was lovely. Mirian is incredibly kind and generous; not only to us as volunteers but with the time and care she gives to the students at the institute. She and all of the amazing teachers are so wonderful! We loved taking part in English classes; chatting with the students and sharing knowledge with them each day. Thank you for having us, we will miss you all! xx

It is amazing how you can sometimes travel to the other part of the world and meet such like-minded people. We could talk for hours in English and Spanish even though my level of Spanish hardly reaches B1. It is amazing to see such a friendly and coherent family, so devoted to their institute, their mission. And also it was such a pleasure to see the faces of the students, who regardless of the financial hardships the country is facing, still have time and resources for education and self development. I am truly blessed to have had this experience as my first volunteering!

We really enjoyed our stay here, the family was incredibly kind and welcoming for the whole stay. While working at the english institute every teacher there was very enthusiastic and excited to teach and learn english. Our accommodation was also very nice, we had a private room and bathroom with ac that worked effectively. They cooked every meal for us and accommodated for our vegetarianism. I very much recommend applying!

Our stay here was amazing! They are the kindest most welcoming and loving family with the cutest dogs and cat🥰🥰The english institute we helped at is wonderful, Miriam and Vero work so hard and are amazing at what they do. The accomodation they gave us was very nice, with our own bathroom and much needed AC😂Even though they weren't vegetarian themselves, they would cook us veggie food everyday and we learnt lots of new recipes😋They became family to us and we are so grateful for this experience ❤️❤️

We stayed with Miriam, Vero and Ringo for 10 days at their lovely house. They are the most kind hearted family I've ever come across. They make you feel so welcome and part of the family. During our time we visited 3 different schools where Miriam works at. This was an amazing experience as all the schools are different and we spent time learning how Miriam and Vero teach their students. We also spent time meeting all the students and involving ourselves into the lessons. This was an unforgettable experience. They really treated us so well with amazing food and company.
