I had a great time learning from him and from living the way of the aldeia hippie. The place is really cool with well equipped cabanas and delicious food prepared for every meal of the day. Working here has been a joy because it is easy-going and flexible. As long as you do your part well, everything else is easy. I especially appreciate that Jow accepted me despite not being fluent in Portuguese, though he was accommodating and helpful enough that we didn't have problems.

Excellent experience! The village is a paradise, with the sea and the Capivara River split by the dunes. Jhow is a high-spirited, good-humored guy and an excellent cook. Between Sol and Luau, I highly recommend the village experience for all it has to offer.

My experience was excellent. Djow is a great host, always making sure everyone feels at ease, very welcoming and makes the best sweet couscous.
The working hours are quite calm and the work is quite variable, according to the day's needs (tidying the cabins, the yard, helping with decoration projects), but all very flexible.
I would definitely recommend this experience.

I am deeply grateful from the bottom of my heart for this week at the camping. Jhow is an incredible figure, outrageous in the best possible sense, always making jokes, laughing out loud, making you feel at home. There is never a shortage of laughs! Not to mention the best couscous I’ve eaten in my life, no discussion. Life can be very simple, and that’s all there is! Living the experience at the camping was a gift. Eluizio and Enzo are amazing hosts who made me feel part of the family and the Aldeia Hippie community. It's a place where nature dictates the pace and the peace takes over everything. They say around here that the difficult part isn't arriving, it's leaving, and I felt exactly that. I leave with a heart full of gratitude and beautiful memories (and the taste of the best Bahian couscous in memory!). Thank you so much for everything, we will surely see each other again!

My volunteering with Jow and his son Enzio was amazing. My boyfriend and I helped paint the cabins, clean and prepare them for the guests, we helped Enzio with reading.. I learned many things with Jow including a wonderful sweet couscous, the environment is wonderful, right in front of the beach, lots of nature, we built campfires every day. Jow made us feel very at home, the food was always served for everyone. Definitely a place I plan to return to 🫶🏻
