Help our community in Mukono, Uganda


The experience

We’re looking for volunteers in Uganda who will contribute to projects in communities where help is most needed.

At a one-to-one Uganda orientation interview we’ll discuss your skills, experience and of course, preferences to ensure that you’re assigned to the right project.

Volunteers in Uganda are needed in a variety of project areas, including but not limited to childcare, administration tasks, community development assistants, environment


What you offer

18 hours of help per week

Animal Care: Help look after and take care of animals.

Painting & Decorating: Help with painting or decorating the property facilities.

Building & Repairing: Help with a wide range of repairs or building.


What you get

2 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Requirements

Beginner English or Fluent English

Between 18 and 80 years old

Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

Flights, Travel Insurance, Internal Transportation and Visa


Program Details

Our Ugandan projects are based in Nakisunga subcounty, Mukono district. The majority of our volunteers are placed in rural areas of Nakisunga subcounty although projects do also exist in other parts of the district.


Activities & Shift

We place volunteers in existing projects, working alongside local people. Our volunteering in Uganda is essentially designed to provide independent experiences which promote integration with the local people. You may also be helping alongside another international volunteer.
