I had an absolute blast at the hotel Hokkaido! Everyone there was so friendly and welcoming, the work was enjoyable with plenty of days off, and I got to end each and every day with a soak in the outdoor the hotel - couldn't have asked for a better first volunteering experience! The hostel is pretty remote, but I'd honestly say it's part of the charm and was a great way to slow down and recharge in a beautiful part of Japan. Plus getting to see the trees around Daisetsuzan slowly turn orange was amazing too! I'll definitely be back to visit and hike again and would highly recommend!

The working hours are consistent and very managable, the views are absolutely stunning, I met the nicest people during my stay that made me feel like I was with a family instead of at a workplace, and although it is a bit isolated from the closest city, if you rent a car you can do roadtrips all over Hokkaido on weekends off. Hiking around the Hostel is also beautiful and the hotel after a long day is one of the best things that have happened to me while in Hokkaido.

The hotel Hokkaido is the perfect place for a quiet get away from the usually very busy Japan life. I really enjoyed my time there and going to the hotel in the nights snow was always a perfect way to end your day. If you are looking to have some time for yourself and get back in touch with nature while also enjoying the nice company of the super friendly staff and other guests, I'd definitely recommend giving the hotel Hokkaido a shot! The hotel Hokkaido Asahidake provides a good alternative to the big cities in Japan. I enjoyed the snow and the sight of snow-covered Asahidake. The hosts were kind and helpful. The amount of work was manageable but sometimes there was confusion about the tasks. It makes sense to visit the Asahidake Visitor Center. You can learn about wildlife near Asahidake and also rent snow boots or skiers. I rented some skiers to do some cross-ski. I also recommend the hotel😀. Ultimately, it was an interesting but also an unusual experience for me.

I spent the loveliest 3 weeks in the cosy space of K House Hokkaido during the fall season! The full time staff were welcoming, friendly, clear with their instructions and hours were well respected. With only 4h of work a day and 2 days off a week, I had plenty of time to explore the surrounding nature and Mt Asahidake. If you love being in nature and enjoy a lot of quiet, solo time, this would be the perfect place for you. As I was the only volunteer there during that time, I got my own room that came with a toilet. I also got to use the hotel every day, a rly therapeutic experience!

Staying at the hotel was a wonderful experience. The hotel is located in a peaceful location, surrounded by nature. The facilities are very cozy, and you can use the hotel, which is beautiful. The tasks weren't difficult, and time was respected. The staff was also very friendly and helpful. Overall, it was a great place to relax. I had the greatest time in Asahidake the hotel. Everybody is super nice and welcoming. I was properly introduced in my tasks and learned a lot about the way the hotel is run. The work times where fair and I was always able to finish in time. Also the food support is a great help and Inwaas even drivem to Higashikawa once to get groceries. There is a great the hotel in the hotel and the landscape is amazing. I never felt bored during the month here because there is a lot to explore. I can only recommend to come here and experience nice people, wonderfull nature and amazing culture.

Volunteering at the hotel was exactly what I needed! Being surrounded by mountains and the snow, in a beautiful and calm place, with a super nice team! Mizue-san and Masa-san are kind and helpful, clear in their directions. The cleaning tasks are straightforward and the work hours are always respected. And being able to be in the warm the hotel while it's snowing is a magical experience!

Really good hôtel away from the rest of the world. The team was very nice, the tasks asked were very straightforward and reasonable. The manager was really helpful, he drove me to the supermarket several times and the day I left he drove me to the airport. The environment is very quiet and so beautiful. For me it was a really good month to rest and prepare the rest of my journey. I had a private room and access to the hotel every day. Thank you

I had a great time at the hotel Hokkaido. The whole team was very welcoming and always available and flexible if I needed anything. The work isn't difficult and the working hours are always respected. The establishment is very comfortable, having your own room and being able to got to the hotel was just amazing ! It's also the perfect place to meet people and to hike in the mountains. You just need to plan enough food before coming because the supermarket is far from the establishment. I really recommend this place if you like nature and quiet places.
