Beautiful place!! You will love if you want to get away from the city, revel in nature, but still have a grocery store and thriving town close by to explore. The location is out of town a little ways so planning for the week, grocery or supplies is a must. Hikes and waterfalls are everywhere. The airbnb's we help with are beautifully and thoughtfully designed. Incredible views and interesting nature. Host toured me around and explained the community, also explaining the different pine trees I had never seen before. A great pick if you love nature and love spontaneity. Also knows English!

My experience at the lodge in Urubici was wonderful.
From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with a lot of kindness, affection, and hospitality by Giovana, a kind, attentive and welcoming person who made my stay even more pleasant.
Her pets Max, Jack, Truta, and Nala are very cute.
It's that kind of environment where we can slow down, breathe deeply, and reconnect.
The tasks are simple and easy and well coordinated; the landscapes of Urubici are incredible.

I loved this volunteering experience, if you want to unwind for a few days, I highly recommend it, because they're only in the mountains, as everything has its good and bad sides, you're literally alone in the mountains, the family is lovely, Gio is very nice and a very good person, Gio took me to explore as much of Urubici as possible, very committed to you falling in love with Urubici, it also has its things, but like any person, I recommend doing this volunteering for 7 to 10 days, afterwards it becomes tedious and repetitive. and at least for me it bored me, wifi is perfect, the room is perfect and the food is perfect.

Volunteering at the lodge was an experience full of learning and adventures! Giovana and her pets (Nala, Trufa, Max and Jack ❤️) welcomed us very well. We had several interesting exchanges with the Host, who even always stayed with us in the tasks, introduced us to the best itineraries of Urubici and even took us for a walk 😍 Oh, in addition to helping make the environments more beautiful, we also had the opportunity to enjoy the hosting experiences at the lodge in the Domo and in the Chalet. The experience at the eco lodge with Gi was quite something from day one, when I could meet the sailor Beto Pandiani; in the following days I also met former volunteers who had returned to the town and are now employed on a farm. All of this shows how Giovana is a beloved person to those around her. The work itself was calm, leaving plenty of time to explore Urubici's tourist spots, though most of them are paid, and even with the discount Gi could get, it was still a bit expensive. I made a few mistakes, but I hope I have fulfilled the expectations.

My stay at the eco lodge was spectacular. The host Gi is extremely attentive, careful, respectful and willing to teach. She is very open and receptive. And she treated me more than very well. The chalet and the dome are wonderful and this was an unparalleled experience. She allows the volunteer to stay in the chalet or the dome when they aren't occupied. The work is super light. And Gi even took me to walk around the city, and to the tourist spots. And detail: following her guidance I have already lost 6kg. I leave here literally lighter - in body and soul. I already have plans to come back hehe

Thanks Giovana for hosting us at the accommodation for me and Milu. I really enjoyed the walks we did, Morro da Igreja, Morro Azul, Corvo Branco. We are going to miss Max, Jack, Nala, and Trufa: the best animal companions we could have had. The tasks are simple and not heavy at all, although I did miss having a fixed schedule for the start and end of our volunteer tasks since I am used to other volunteer programs that operate that way. I also recommend going by car or motorcycle, since all the places to visit in Urubici are far away to walk. Thank you very much.
