The location of the hostel is ideal, close to temples and metro.
I was at the Motu bar, run by Effie and her family, where I was able to meet locals and interact with tourists.
The team I worked with was very welcoming, and we were able to create beautiful relationships.
The schedules can sometimes change, but Effie always does her best to adapt to the volunteers :)
Perfect if you want to be immersed in the country and with the locals.

If you are looking for a place in between chaos this is the place. It is very laid back, the work requires no skills or learning. I was looking for more of an opportunity to grow and experience new things but there is none of that unless you really go out of your way.

This was a really fun experience! I made very close friends with the other volunteers. I will say that the hostel has less of the normal hostel vibe and works more as a hotel, but that does not make the experience less exciting, just more chill. Effie was such a kind host, always being helpful and guiding me through work when I had questions. The other two local workers at the hostel were so kind and accommodating. I got to learn a lot about Thai culture through the restaurant that exists separately in the lobby, and Sophie, who worked there!

I spent a month here and had a great time with the volunteers. Effie was very kind. I just had a few issues with the person at the reception, but after talking it out, things improved. The hostel is in a good location, everything is easily accessible. The room is shared with guests, which bothered me a little sometimes, and breakfast wasn't provided. Still, I had a great month, made some wonderful memories, and met some amazing people.
