Participants will gain:
● Knowledge of the environment; how to identify the causes and consequences of environmental
problems and where they come from.
● Knowledgeable of how to respond to challenges and necessities from society, improving the
environmental conditions of a town, city or country.
● Knowledge on how to reduce and decrease the risks from negative impacts in the environment using
environmentally sustainable, economically viable and culturally contextualized solutions that
contribute to sustainable development.
● Teaching Assistant - Support for environmental engineering subjects, presenting topics and introducing
workshops in English
● Research Assistant - Investigation in the following projects:
o Treatment and final disposal of sludge from wastewater treatment plants
o Evaluation of ecosystem services
o Integral management of water resources
o Treatment of industrial, domestic and mining waste water
o Waste recovery
o Integral management of solid urban waste
o Sustainable management and consumption.
We are NOT a free lodging program. It costs fifteen dollars per day to participate in our program. The fee covers your lodging in our guest house facility and the program. You must accept being part of the team, from the arrival of the students until the departure of the students.
