Program Details

I am looking for a kind, independent helper for the winter months. The practical support is light and manageable and includes snow removal, light housework, simple home cooking, and helping keep the space cozy and organized. Nothing heroic. Just everyday life done together.
This experience is also about companionship. Winter here can be quiet, and shared time makes it warmer. That might mean easy conversation, watching movies, playing board games, laughing at comedies, or sitting in the same room doing different things and calling it a good evening.
If you enjoy animals, you will feel very comfortable here. The pets are friendly, affectionate, and firmly believe they are part of every plan.
In return, the schedule is flexible, the pace is calm, and there is plenty of time to rest, enjoy nature, work on personal projects, or simply watch the weather do its thing.
This is a good fit for someone who values connection, humor, mutual respect, and simple, meaningful living during the winter season.

Activities & Shift

Mornings are usually for light housework such as tidying shared spaces, gentle cleaning, and organizing the day. By lunchtime, the pace slows and afternoons are generally calm and flexible. This time is yours and can be used to rest, read, explore, work on personal projects, or enjoy the quiet without anyone asking you to do anything.
Evenings are simple and relaxed. We prepare easy meals when it works for both of us, and dishes are done before bedtime so we can all wake up to a clean kitchen and fewer regrets. During winter months, being comfortable with shoveling snow when needed is important.
Evenings are social but never forced. That might mean watching a movie, sharing dinner, laughing at comedies, playing board games if you enjoy them, or sitting in the same room doing different things and calling it a good night.

Rules

Please clean up after yourself in the bathroom and kitchen. Shared spaces stay pleasant when everyone does their part.
Food stays out of bedrooms. This is the countryside, and mice do not need invitations.
We aim to share meals when possible. It’s part of the home rhythm, not an obligation.
This is a social home. You don’t need to be “on” all the time, but this is not a hermit-style placement. Friendly conversation and being present matter here.
I enjoy conversation and laughter, so comfort with a talkative host is important.
No weed or recreational drugs on the property. Tobacco smoking is fine outdoors only.
