The experience was really good! The tasks are very easy, and it is possible to do different things every day because there are two shifts, two other volunteers, and the schedule is provided in advance.
The room and kitchen are very basic, but generally good for sleeping and cooking simple meals.
Additionally, the volcano tour is an amazing experience, and the guides were really kind and nice people.
The location is really good, and you have plenty of time to explore Antigua and different places nearby!

I came to volunteer at the host July-August 2026. I have nothing but great things to say about the overall experience! Living situation could be updated, but you're definitely not coming to Guatemala just to sleep. the host was in a perfect location in the heart of Antigua, it was very easy to find your way around and explore the town. Kelsey the host is amazing, she met every request/accommodation and helped introduce all of the volunteers to what Antigua has to offer. This was my first Worldpackers trip, I can't recommend coming here enough!

Do not worry about bringing too much hiking gear as you can rent it there and will waste space bring it there. You need to bring good shoes for the hike as you cannot rent these. The place is fantastic but the accommodation is not great and very hot.

Going into my first Worldpackers experience, I wasn't sure what to expect, but I absolutely loved my time at the host. The sense of community, not just with volunteers but the guides and staff, was genuinely great, and the location puts you so close to everything you start to feel like a local. You also meet so many travelers coming through for the hike, making it easy to connect. Tasks are super easy to do. Arguably the best part is the volcano hike itself, absolutely surreal !! Such a solid first experience, I'd definitely recommend it.

I had a wonderful time volunteering at the host! Kelsey is incredibly kind, welcoming, and always happy to help, making everyone feel at home. The volunteer work is easy and well-balanced, leaving plenty of time to explore the beautiful surroundings. My time at the host was amazing i met some amazing people and made even more amazing memories. The work that is expected of you is communicated clearly and is very easy. Once you are finished you are right in the heart of antigua and can easily walk or drive to any place nearby. Kelsey is an amazing host i highly recommend volunteering here.

I had a great experience at the host. The tasks are easy and repetitive and If you have any problems Kelsey is open to feedback. The accomendations are what you make of them because the only time you should really be in the room is when your sleeping since there's so much exploring and hiking to do instead. The kitchen is nice and even has a comfortable sofa. I would highly recommend volunteering at the host.
