Met so many amazing people at banbodoi, i had a great time socializing and getting to know everybody. Theres always a lot of people coming and going so youll never get lonely. Great food and a lovely space. Working scheduele starts in the afternoon so you usually finish around 7 or 9. Teaching isnt hard, it just takes some time to get used to the sites and materials they use to do the online classes. Theyre very kind and accomodating people. Its very peaceful even though highway next. Getting there and back isnt hard, it just takes a while 40 minutes. You can take the shared taxi or hitchhike.

I enjoyed my time teaching here! There was a bit of miscommunication about which day to arrive due to Songkran, but once I got started they were super flexible on which days I would stay. The teaching is quite intense as it back to back online, bht all of the students have been great and the set up is good. We get two really great meals a day, and it's been lovely meeting the other the home. Thank you for the experience!

We had a lovely time at Ban Don Doi. The teaching was a good experience and the staff were super welcoming. They organised activities for us like bamboo rafting, evening BBQs and trip to the water park. The food was delicious. Only thing I would say is that the teaching is on zoom and that can be a bit hard at first, however you pick it up quickly. Classes can be in the evening or in the daytime, it really depends on the day but this is good for flexibility. The staff were super accommodating to any additional requests that we had. I would reccomend this to anyone who wants to teach English.

I spent one week in this volunteer and was enough to say it has been my favorite one. A much needed stop, in a beautiful place, lots of nature, but overall the most amazing people. Im so grateful for the friends I met here, they will always be in my heart. Also the staff is always ready to help, they organice very fun activities like bbq, music jams, bamboo rafting, even watching elephants. The job is easy, you interact with local people and encourage students to improve their english skills. Highly recommend💘🌞💫🍃🦋

Such a great experience, I hope I can come back. The people there were so kind and welcoming, and on my first day the owners through a barbecue and 2 days later they took us bamboo rafting. I also met many locals and learned some Thai, and the work we were doing was fun and really fulfilling . I wish I could have stayed longer, but will hopefully come back.

Though, having the classes int he afternoon/evening was not my favourite, they were very fun and enjoyable (I had some repeat students, who I loveed and will miss big time!<3). The place is beautiful, spacious, n truly peaceful— can mentally detox there n enjoy complete solitude. I had my own personal space n felt genuinely happy. Classes are mostly held in the evenings, leaving your days completely free. Everything is conveniently close: a 7-Eleven and food markets are just a short walk away. There are usually 8–15 the home around, so you meet plenty of interesting people. Their mom prepares our meals, and they're always delicious. They even have their own bar on-site, with wonderful live music creating a relaxed vibe. Rare to find such an experience.Dont miss ii

I have enjoyed my stay at the home. I stayed in a shared room with 2 other girls. There are usually 10-15 the home at a time, so it doesn't feel lonely. (at least when I was there) The classes are 40 minutes long, 6 classes per day, usually in the evening. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a calm, cozy place to have a rest from a busy city and wants to practice being an english teacher.

This place felt to me like it was not entirely as advertised. During my stay there, there were no social activities or day trips for the home as outlined on worldpackers, which for me and other the home staying there at the time became a big struggle. The place is an hour drive from the city and is in a really isolated area. Also, this experience did not make me feel like i was contributing positively to the local community. We were given 0 training and families were paying 150 baht per session which is over x4 thailands minimum wage. It seemed like this role is purely about profits.
