I had a great experience! The host was very friendly, flexible, and welcoming, and the staff and locals were just as kind. One of the best parts was the language exchange. Not many people spoke English or Spanish, so I had the chance to learn Portuguese, which was both challenging and rewarding. Volunteering at Vila Vagalume was incredible. I stayed, by choice, in the kitchen. They asked if I wanted to pass through other areas; I really liked the kitchen and the team. Vila is a hotel that is very well structured and organized, so very different from hostel experiences. The accommodation is literally next to the hotel; I stayed alone in the room, although there could be more people. The activities and schedules are very well respected and flexible according to the needs of your activities. Everything that was agreed upon was fulfilled. I thank Ricardo, Dani and the whole hotel team who are wonderful, and it's not possible to name them all.

My experience at the hotel was wonderful! I spent all the time in the breakfast area and in the kite zone, helping and practicing English with the guests. I connected with the people where I worked; they are a lot of fun. The tasks are relaxed, the scheduled hours are respected. The city is very small; if you want to connect with local people and have time in nature, it's the perfect place. The volunteers' house is next door, simple, but I stayed a while alone in a very large room. Thanks to Mr. Ricardo and Dani! I highly recommend the experience ❤️

The experience there was incredible! I had high expectations due to the previous reviews, but they were surpassed. Ricardo is a great host and the hotel's staff is very welcoming. The accommodations are comfortable and the snack offered after the guests' coffee is very tasty. Unlike most Worldpackers options, it is a hotel for guests of a higher level and the service offered is commensurate. So keep in mind that your commitment to the work is fundamental. For those who love hospitality as I do, it is an experience and then some! Thank you very much, the hotel!

Ah…It was wonderful, my entire volunteering experience at Vila. The staff are 10/10—so lovely, polite, humble, and always willing to help you in any situation. The work was very relaxed, and I worked the breakfast shift for the entire duration of my volunteering. Ajudávamos no café da manhã e nos preparativos para o almoço. É com muita agratidão que finalizo esta experiência. A equipe do Hotel me acolheu muito bem, o quarto dos voluntários é muito confortável. A praia de Guajiru é linda, é excelente pra quem busca um lugar bonito e tranquilo pra relaxar e contemplar a natureza. A alimentação é ótima. O hotel é lindo, só diria que não é como em outros voluntariados que temos uma convivência mais próxima com todos, como é um Hotel de alto padrão, todos são muito focados no seu trabalho e não tem uma troca mais fraternal como em outros lugares menores. Mas pra mim foi bom mesmo assim.

EXCELENTE. Não consigo expressar o quanto fui bem recebido e acolhido por todos — do motorista ao almoxarifado (meu carinho especial à Vívian e à Luísa ❤️), garçons, recepção, patisserie, supervisoras, seu Ricardo e esposa. Superaram minhas expectativas. O trabalho foi justo e tive acesso às áreas comuns do hotel nas folgas. Estrutura excelente, acomodação super confortável em uma casa próxima e café da manhã muito bem servido. Voltarei, nem que seja como hóspede, para rever as amizades e matar a saudade desse paraíso que é Guajiru. Muito obrigado povo abençoado que conheci, guardarei no ❤️
